Hi Guys, I've collated all the data required to start going through all the applications. I will soon start going through the applications and rejecting the ones that didn't meet the game time requirements (the last 30, 60 and 90 days were taken into account), so we can internally focus on the ones that do meet the requirements. However, in the meantime, I am able to start promoting the internal staff. @Curny @Hotfire and @Strong have now been promoted to full SAES members. @Sou @Anas_ @Yannick and @Bisollini have now been promoted to CS members. The recruitment process is now closed, we would like to thank all those who have applied to join our team. Hello, Due to horrific earthquakes which have rocked Turkey, we are suspending the requirement for the residents of Turkey to login within 30 days to keep their housing until further notice. Although this is a gesture of goodwill, we will no doubt encounter those who will try to use this to abuse the system, therefore we have taken a snapshot of the housing and current user's IP location, those who are seen or are involved with purposely creating new accounts using a VPN, transferring properties to residents of Turkey to avoid the 30-day login requirement or any other housing-related circumvention of the rules will have all their assets (incl. bank balance) wiped.

Hi All, I've just been informed that Desert Eagles will be holding a new recruitment drive on the 3rd of June at 19:00 (British Summer Time / Server Time) Please find information regarding the recruitment drive below. Hello! As some of you perceptive people have probably seen, server activity has dropped quite dramatically, and the number of available admins available to help you with your requests or run events has also dropped off, so I've been cleaning up shop to ensure that positions aren't occupied by lesser active individuals. As you are also aware, we've started work on our GTA5 server and preparing to have a closed alpha test. However, this does not mean we will be abandoning the MTA server. Hello, I have recently switched our forum software back to Invision Community from NodeBB. I have not taken this decision lightly, but there are various reasons. The way the NodeBB software is setup is that we rely on "plugins" for all the additional features we use on our website. Unfortunately, none of these are maintained anymore, so it would require us to fork and maintain all the plugins we were using ourselves or pay for NodeBB for "support" to do it. I would rather we pay for software subscription than for support each time we do a software update. I have spent today migrating everything from NodeBB to Invision Community. I have managed to migrate all the users (6,000+), forum categories (300+), topics (3,100+) and posts (320,000+) but I was unable to migrate groups or profile covers/photos. You might need to reset your password before you can login. I have setup our built in bug tracker so you will no longer need to submit issues via GitHub. You can request access back to your private forums as long as you are the organisation leader/hq Feel free to use the forums as normal, all the features you are used to using will be added back over the next week. You may experience a few issues with posts where coloured text, spoilers, centering of text/images or embed videos no longer work as these did not use standard markdown and was unable to be converted to WYSIWYG. If you are the owner of these post, you will need to edit and adjust accordingly. If for some reason you prefer the "light mode" (eye cancer) theme, you can select this by going to the bottom of the site, clicking "Theme" and selecting "Default". As SAES commemorates two decades of gaming on Multi Theft Auto, now is the opportune moment to join the celebration. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a newcomer eager to explore the vibrant world of MTA, SAES welcomes you. When SAES started (then as VCES), we began as a gang on a modest 32-player server (which was the server limit back in 2003). We hosted weekly gang wars with other gangs/servers and organized various MTA-wide competitions/events. However, we never envisioned that our humble gang would evolve into a gaming community, let alone one that has operated for so long! For all the players, past and present, who have helped shape the community, we sincerely thank you! Your contributions, be it through gameplay, creativity, or camaraderie, have been the foundation of SAES's enduring legacy. An extra special thanks goes to all those who have generously donated over the years. Your support has allowed our community to thrive, providing players with a place to call home, where friendships are forged, and rivalries are born. As we reflect on these two decades, it's great to see how members have not only grown within the virtual world of SAES but have also grown up in our community. As you may or may not have known, we are looking at getting the next iteration of our community up and running on gta5. We will be looking at gathering people for alpha testing to check how sync is looking, looking for anything we've missed and to check server stability at bigger player counts soon. This will be using the RAGE multiplayer mod from https://rage.mp You don't need to apply to get alpha access, we will be giving it out active members on our mta server who average 3 hours of playtime a day. Hi All, Over the weekend, I purchased a brand-new dedicated server with upgraded specifications from our current host. The new server has a better CPU, RAM and storage is actually SSD (Yes... our current dedicated server is so old it's still on HDDs). I've also taken the initiative to move the server back to France as most of our players do not originate from the UK, therefore the majority of you should get better pings. Unfortunately, this comes with a few negatives. I will need to take the MTA server down to complete the move, this should take about an hour at most. As we have moved the server to another country, we will have to use a brand new IP address. I will be keeping people apprised of the move, dates and times of when things are happening, and giving up-to-date statuses on Discord via the announcement channel, so please keep an eye on it. I would like to thank all past and present donors who keep our community running and making things like this possible as we approach our 20th birthday!

Hi All, This announcement is for the racers amongst you! A new and improved illegal racing script has just been added to the server. This script functionality was originally for experienced members of raceTECH but will now be usable by the entire player base. Features of the old script which we felt were lacking or needed improving upon... Customization. The old script required you to choose a start point and a finish point, whilst it generated everything in between on its own. This resulted in some strange tracks that could end up being blocked by bases or mapping. Fluidity. If you wanted to add a new track, you would have to wait a long time for it to be created, reviewed and pushed to the server to find out that the track might not even really be what you were hoping for. Bugs bugs bugs bugs bugs. We all know how buggy it was. Over time it was patched and made a little better, but it was never perfect. Washed out, boring UI which blended into the background. Improvements with the new script. Full creative freedom. Create your own starting point, checkpoints and finish point. This is restricted to experienced members of raceTECH. The ability to upload and remove tracks in an instant. No more waiting for tracks to be added or removed if mapping or bases get in the way. Import and export tracks with the push of a button, the same way as our construction or LWS panels work. Updated leaderboards so you can view top times for a track before and after a race. Completely overhauled UI to fit with the style of the server. A HUGE thanks to @jonas13362 @Scorpyo and @Jay for making this happen. Also a big thanks to the raceTECH members who were involved in the testing process.

Following up on MTA's ban amnesty (https://forum.multitheftauto.com/topic/139214-ban-amnesty-everyone-got-unbanned/), SAES HQ has decided to also grant amnesty to players that have previously been banned for breaking our server's rules. At the start of this new year, we would like to give everyone previously banned player a chance to have another opportunity to abide by our rules and enjoy the server the way it's intended. This ban amnesty is not a wildcard to return to our server and break rules again, as we will still keep the ban records in our punishment logs. This means that if we notice players who have returned from a ban immediately start breaking our rules again or start misbehaving once again, we will moderate your actions accordingly. If you have genuine intentions of returning to our server in good faith, you are more than welcome to take this opportunity. Before returning to our server, be sure to refresh your mind by reading our server rules at in the Rules & Guidelines subforum (https://saesrpg.uk/forums/forum/246-community-rules-guidelines-help/). SAES UI Design Competition Information We at SAES are looking to any creative minds in our community to create a design for a new UI we will be implementing to our MTA server. You are free to use any graphic design/photo editing software that you choose, we are only requesting the design and not the panel itself. As you've probably noticed, the side widget it back showing live server information, however, we have built upon the framework to show better information. If you click on the player count on the side widget, you will now see more information about the players on the server other than "ping" as we no longer use the built in MTA query protocol. In other news, I've now shut down the RvB server completely as its not been used for years.

We've recently updated the website software, which includes a change for clubs/organisations. People not currently members of your club/organisation can now create or reply to topics within your public forums (where you allow it). This means if you don't want to rely on the application form for people to apply to your gang and wish to have your own topic/application guidelines, you can or if you wish for non-members/probationary members to post media activities before you make them members, they now can. (Basically how the old forum sections worked). I've been through and updated everyone's public and applications forums within their club/org pages to allow public posting. On another note, it seems there is an issue with accepting org/club rules before joining, in the meantime, I would recommend club/org owners/leaders disable "joining rules" until a fix has been issued.

Hi All, Since we have moved to this forum software, we have been able to access a feature called "Clubs". Clubs allows people to maintain their own section, moderators, members and also allows people to setup forums, pages etc without the need of waiting for an admin to set them up manually. All your private topics, posts etc is still available and would be moved to either option you choose. With this in mind, I've setup a poll to decide what you would like to do going forward. Use clubs for maintaining your own private section of the forum with minimal need to contact an admin to maintain your area. (We currently don't have a way to make it partially open and partially closed in a club, so you would still need a topic in the gang/group/civ forum for your applications as clubs are private). Go back to the old method of waiting for admins to setup private forum sections for people to use, however this time round, we would not be setting up groups, we would set "passwords" on forums which you would need to wait for admins to change (which would get boring quick, as you would potentially need to change it each time you kick or someone leaves to stop them viewing your private content) You can vote and give your opinions here: The poll ends on Friday 6th Jan, 8:30am GMT

Our MTA server will go down tomorrow (10th October 2023) at 8:30am UK/Server time as we migrate it to the new server. It will be down for about an hour, but may take a few, if we run into any difficulties. The IP address to the server will change, however, we will put a redirect in place on the old IP to forward people to the new IP. The new IP will be given out once the move is complete.

If you are hosting any in-game events or want to announce something to the whole community, such as a recruitment drive, tournament, party etc, please get in touch with a "Community Announcer" (taggable group on discord) and they will announce it to the masses for you! If you do not have this forum in your organisation, please raise an issue here: https://saesrpg.uk/issues/web/ When raising an issue, please link your old forum category and your new forum organisation, once we have moved your content, your organisation will automatically be on the list. Until people are a member of your organisation, they will be unable to reply to topics within it, so if you require people to have "activities" posted as part of your application process, you will need to have them do one of the following: Use discord. Allow them into the organisation to post on their topic. Use the media forum (but you wont be able to moderate and will need to ask an admin to move the topic if you allow them to join).

As the other poll has now closed and people want to go with clubs, I wanted to ask some additional questions. You can create the following with clubs: Member forum where club members can view and participate in topics. Public forum where club members can view and participate but public can only "view" topics there. It doesn't appear that we can allow public members to post within a closed club at this time. We are unable to create HQ only forums in clubs at this time either, but I'm not sure this much of a problem as you all have your own discord servers where you can keep HQ only data. I am exploring options that will give us greater control over clubs and possibly give us the features we need, but as they are all paid options, I will need to make sure we get the right one before purchasing. So I have two suggestions how we could deal with it going forward: USE CLUBS - We would create a form similar to https://saesrpg.uk/ban-appeal/ where you would select the club you are applying for from a dropdown list which would post within the chosen clubs for club moderators and leaders to deal with, this still gives you access to a private and public facing forum within your club and will allow self moderating without the involvement of admins. USE FORUMS - Use groups for HQ/moderators to moderate your current sections and use passwords for normal members to access your private forum categories (similar to how it was on archive.saesrpg.uk, you would still wait for admins to set these groups up and add people to them and change passwords when people leave/quit to stop them accessing your private data.)
