@teddy said in Invisible road bump.: delete red county it is a mistake Sounds reasonable. Who needs RC anyway?
-
Not how saes works, but how ICE works, two different things.
-
Okay, due to boredom (And lack of tasks at work) I did my research on it, started a new game in my GTA SA and used a hydra to get to the spot. As at the work pc I don't have steam, got a pirate version of gta sa. (Can't show the pictures I've taken with the camera.) Anyway.. The thing is. There is that bump. Which means I've simply ignored it's existance before.
-
So, this. I've been bothered by this bump for quite a while already, and the worst part of it is the fact that I don't really remember this to be a thing before. It's either me, that never noticed or this wasn't a thing. I assume there could be some sort of a way to work it around, either creating a small ramp over it, to avoid it, or by deleting them. Either way, this needs to be gone...

ICE's Response to Organisation Application Results
StarWars replied to Joshbond's topic in General Chat
@james said in ICE's Response to Organisation Application Results: Dear @FireFox i did not want to get involved in this chat that @Joshbond has open .but from the time you involved my name i must unfortunately Respond to you. you don't have the rights criticize me because You Don't Know Me.about my English its to be my first language because i am Australian form Sydney. finish school and college.second i must remind you mate that this is only one game and not in real life to qualify police academy or army. Most are kids and want to pass their time having fun and Do not judge mate. and about your 2 years experienced SAPA instructor and tester this is all bullshit like i told you this is only one game that's all.and about how we write in the chat game and some times we make wrong spelling this can happen because we are driving one car or me some time i for get to put on my glasses..and you speak about the VL . James OK i will inform you that the VL James is the creator owner of ice mate.unfortunately we don't have the right to have 2 leaders in 5 ranking so i decided to have SAM.so next mind your own business and don't be one stupid and behaved like one child asshole . And there you go. With such a VL ICE will end up really far. @BlaZZey Is completelly correct in it's statement. Starting is hard for any squad... No matter how many experienced and good members get involved in it, but when your VL can afford creating such a state of art like the one I just quoted... Getting somewhere will be a tough path. -
Smart Banking System in SAES
StarWars replied to Filex's question in Suggestions / Changes - Archive
Why a group: The group members will be able to delete, give loans and take properties to make a auction with the taken properties for the group bank (in help with SAHA) ''a special panel will be set for the group money'' (except the creation that will be automatic). -=(navy,maroon,sienna,black)THE MEMBERS WILL BE CHOSEN ONCE THE GROUP AND THE IDEA ARE SET BY ADMINS=- The idea behind this is marvelous. But what I see here is quite an issue. Even though SAES members would recruit "responsable" players for such a position.. Wouldn't it be safer to not to involve players at all? Make a menu where you select a property, (house that costs 10 k as an example) You can get a loan of 10 k as maximum, as it's what the value which you got instead is. You get a term of some time to return the loan, if you don't, property gets automatically claimed by saes. Then a simple saha can auction the house as usual and make even more money for the banking system. If it comes to a vehicle, just use the price which you get when you sell it, (If I'm not wrong, half the price it costs when you buy it) So for example, if you've got a car that costs 500 k, you'll get a loan of 250 k max, and the car will be removed from the disk automatically, once again, without involving players. Another thing, didn't see a word about interest rates, if you get a loan for x time, there should be x% that will be an extra. < If you didn't consider this, it would improve the script even more, making it even more complicated to write. In overall, you've got a great idea right there that might be really a gamechanger as with a proper economy reset, the banking system could be updated.. -
[FEATURE] Carjacker Script Idea
StarWars replied to Filex's question in Suggestions / Changes - In Review
I hardly understand most of the words .. And don't get your point at all... I'll base the following on an assumption that I deduced from your post. As you're trying to force players to follow the rules, it will not work. We have a system based on punishment working daily. "/report" and adminjails, and still rulebreaks happen on a daily basis. Now imagine if you give them a "reason" to hate someone. You can't trust players to do the right thing, and this is always something that will happen. Remember that this is not a job, not something serious, and even if you manage to get yourself into a serious position, it doesn't mean you'll do the right thing. (Most of the money abusers back in the day were actually respectable and good players with a good reputation) < I use that just as an example. Anyway, returning to the point... We don't need to offer even more reasons for players to deathmatch, they already have plenty of those, and loosing a property due to someone, and even knowing due to who, would make things really get out of hand and escalate quickly. Also, remember, this is not a strict roleplay server, and it's not "protected" by any way, so any player can join it without any problem... Being part of SAES doesn't mean being a good or a mature player. Even on "good" and "strict" roleplay servers in every single game you can find immature and kiddish behaviour. -
Worker Modification (request)
StarWars replied to Filex's question in Suggestions / Changes - Archive
Technically speaking @Tut-Greco is actually right. If you want to build you need to be good at it... I suppose that not many of the players here remember that before, the gov used to have a build panel, and even there people managed to abuse it.. So I think it's right the way it is right now. You have enough resources for a basic thing, if you're really interested into building stuff all over the place, which is actually quite responsable as you could simply ruin the experience for other players by annoying them, it should stay the way it is. -
[FEATURE] Carjacker Script Idea
StarWars replied to Filex's question in Suggestions / Changes - In Review
@filex said in Carjacker Script Idea: @starwars said in Carjacker Script Idea: The thing with this though.. I can't even imagine how much rage and conflicts that would bring onto, far beyond just a casual "fuck you" when your car gets pinked. I obviously understand it is an interesting idea which would add on even more scripts and interesting thigns to do on SAES, but. I somewhat imagine that with this update, we'd see a current stream of deathmatching reports flying left and right, constant revenge kills and god knows what else just because you stole someone's car. It's a good idea, but it's not for the public which is on SAES. Most of the players here can't handle a pinked car.. Can't even imagine how they would react to this. So I don't really think it'll end up being implemented just by the fact that it would be deathmatch inducing, or at least, that's what I see in it. (Just think about how many players constantly dm impouders) SAES is not a place for kids, if they wont be able to accept something that makes the gameplay better and more interresting they dont deserve to be a part of the best RPG server on MTA. its a point, true from a part but i see that it can change many thing. Lets say typical things come out of the ashes ? nah ? Sir, you either don't play on SAES, or you have your chat with 1 line so you don't realise all the spam and daily cries about how badly someone behaved... Just take a look at the most upvoted quote wall posts to make sure about the age of the players on SAES. Also, no need to asslick that much. Most of the current community and players are immature, and uncapable of logical thinking, so... Yeah, there's that. And let's not even mention players that get asshurt for nothing and have a lot of time on their lives to waste on you. As I stated above, this will turn the server into a dm one. lol -
I don't really see a point in this. It's essentially an event. Yeah, it might add on to the server gameplay but.. Where did you see any police force that arrives to the scenary and instead of attempting any kind of interaction just enters a building kind of like the CIA, puts down every single living form inside and leaves.. The way I see this is just a typical event. The only probable reason this would make sense is if that would be performed by DE and CLO. Obviously the military rarelly bother to risk their lives by arresting someone, and instead prefer to clear out the building making it safer. Yeah, that it would make some sense, but still.. I think this is just more a topic for an event, rather then a regular script that would act like a robbery. Also about the raids, usually the squads can raid criminal bases, and there are certain rules for it, so I think this script has no place at all here.

It's an interesting concept.. Might also be even more improved by adding a betting system, if two players play, the one that wins gets to keep the cash.

Wheels keep rotation when engine is off
StarWars replied to Tut's question in Suggestions / Changes - Archive
It's a good suggestion but I don't really see a practical use for this, it's a nice feature to have but I don't really see a practical situation where this would come in handy, also I don't really imagine pulling someone over, setting the vehicle behind and trying to lock the wheels in a certain position, things get even worse if you have to turn the vehicle's engine off for it to work.. I don't really see a use, but it adds to the realism, I guess. -
I don't really know why it was implemented, but the only thing I can remember from that time is... No one used to even bother trying a jailbreak. So if this gets implemented the way you mention it, it might work but I think 90% of the players would straight ahead ignore it totally as it's just stupid... People don't do jailbreaks for money, they do it for the sake of deathmatching, and if we stick to the RP situation of that, yeah, you crack a door and you get paid... Hm, not sure if that's how it works. On the other hand, there could be a way to somehow turn it into a profitable situation with an interesting NPC involving script, but I am 90% sure no one would bother to do such a thing. I'll explain it: I've been roleplaying for a while on a GTA 5 server, where you could break people out of prison, but there was an interesting catch. Essentially, you got a notification to your phone that one of the big fishes was caught in there, and was willing to pay if you extract him. Once you get to the jail, break through the security and so on, you have to free a specific prisoner, an NPC. So, here we could implement such a thing as well, similar to the script involved in the SR, the criminals that got involved in the cracking and jailbreaking (I would just assume it by the ones that are in the interior, and not in the cells) get a reward once the NPC gets transported to a safe location. I obviously understand that this would be a quite tough scripting challenge, and don't even know if it would be possible to do so, but in case it is possible, and it would end up working, potentially that could add on to the realism and even the interest in jailbreaking. TL;DR: Stupid suggestion, I added a cool one but it will be denied 100%.

They've donated so much, they want special treatment of course @Brophy.

The luck of being on internet.. Turns you into a star. I've personally had no clue that there was someone named like that. Googled it up. Found nothing to be proud of. The world might be a better place this way.

@blade said in Fix the detective spawn: The sirens on top of a car would require every vehicle in the game to be "mapped" with specific coordinates for them to be attached to. This is simply too much for such little. I don't see the use for us to make this happen. The access to the radio should be fixed tho. I don't really understand this part.. As I don't really think you understood me. The squads have access to a command known as "/polight" which enables a simple blinking intervals where left blinkers turns red, then right turns blue and so on.. I did not request an actual syren mapped over a car.
-
The detective spawn has no access to radio even while being restricted to PC only. Also considering that the detective has to drive a civilian vehicle, and not an actual police vehicle, I would like to see the /polights used by many squads on it. (Usually you can see that detectives have their own syrens, and just set it over the top of the car when they need it, no matter what car it is).
