Activity: MMC | ALT roleplay Date: 04-02-2021 Participants: Dawis67 @killerask @BBeniBB @SwaT @YassQueenn @Viktor-0 @Eunide Story: In your life as a trucker, you encounter many different customers. You have the "regulars", which is a truckers way of saying construction companies, industrial firms and commercial partners. These are the entities you deal with most of your time as a trucker. Sometimes however, you get more exotic clients, such as was the case for today. After lunch time chow, a call from an unknown number spooked Dawis who was relaxing in the truck cabin, "Hello?". "Is this Dawis?", spoke the voice on the other end of the line. "Yes, who is calling?", said Dawis curiously. "I require transportation services, and i have gathered you are the right man to do it.", replied the man completely disregarding the question. "Uh, yea, sorry but you have called the wrong number. To apply for transportation services, you should call the ALT dispatch line. You have reached me on my personal number sir.", responded Dawis. "This is no mistake. I require your direct services and would like to go about this in a quiet, covert manner. I can offer you your entire months pay for a single simple job, however we cannot take this through the companny," explained the man. "Huh, I see, the offer is intriguing indeed. So what is this job?", asked Dawis calmly as he was trying to conceal his excitement for the potential pay. "We have a large cargo that would require the kind of machinery you operate. That is we have a cistern of ethanol and some additional vehicles that need to be moved from San Fierro to Whetstone warehouse.", explained the man. "That is doable, very doable. This would probably take no more than a day", said Dawis "Uh, yeah, we will need this to be done within a window of 2 hours, that is the cargo needs to be out of San Fierro by that time.", said the man "Ok, well i will need to request additional help in that case. I have close trusted partners who will be no less interested, and gratned, just as surreptitious as i gather your operation requires.", said Dawis as he was already laying aside his plans for tomorrow. "Take whatever men you need, but if anything goes wrong, this will go out of your paycheck. That said I think we should be able to cover this smoothly." said the man. He added, "Meet me tomorrow 11.30 sharp at the construction site next to Cranberry station, we'll take it from there. Also remember keep this to yourself and make sure your partner does the same". "Sounds like a plan, see ya then". Next day, the whole day Dawis couldn't stop thinking about the job. He wasn't sure if he was more excited for the pay or more apprehensive of the description. The call didn't exactly give an ensuring feeling that the wouldnt be no trouble along the way, but now that its arranged, there is no backing out now. Dawis knew he needed somebody he could trust and the first person that came to mind was a close friend, a trucker that goes by the name Yass. Dawis and Yass go way back to the days of Afghan was and the challanges they faced there. Dawis knew he could be trusted with the covert operation. Approaching 11:30 Dawis and Yass arrived at the agreed location. They were alone and nobody was approaching their trucks. 11:50 faint thunder could be heard emerging from behind the building block. Group of bikers, all on black bikes, approached the construction site. They parked their bikes and the men got off their bikes. Some took the defensive positions as the man, that clearly was the leader of the pack, approached the truck. Dawis and Yass got out of their trucks. "So, you two ready?", said the man. "Yeah. So where is the cargo?", asked Dawis. "Who is this who you have brought along?", asked the man, again disregarding the question. "Oh, yeah that my partner, and a good friend, Yass." "I go by Killer", added the crew leader. The men shaked hands "Alright, follow us, we'll show you to the cargo", said Killer as he went back to his bike. They drove to a secluded industrial area where two trailers were parked. Dawis and Yass coupled the trailers to their trucks. "So, where exactly is the destination?", asked Dawis "About that. We will escort you to the location. Hope its it wont interfere with your ability to perform. We want to make sure everything gets to where it needs safely. Im sure you understand", replied Killer "That wont be a problem", said Dawis "Well, lets get on to it then", added Killer as he got his equipment and bike ready. Him followed all his men. They gathered in positions around the trucks and as a large convoy they drove to the highway. The trip went smoothly, although Dawis couldn't shake the uncertainty of this situation. I mean its not everyday a cargo gets escorted in a military-like fashion. The caravan approached Whetstone, and as the leader of the gang took a turn to the warehouse beside the road, rest of the crew along with the trucks followed. The trailers were parked inside the warehouse, of what only looked like some old industrial mining facility. That is about the extent of the situation Dawis wanted to know about, as it was safer to know less, even though the trip went smoothly. Killer approached Dawis and Yass who were quietly discussing the situation by themselves. "Well, men, great work today. Couldn't have asked for a better execution. Here is your promised pay. We are done for now, and I hope it goes without saying that none of this ever happened", said Killer with a slight smile as he handed the truckers their well-earned reward. "Great doing business with ya' partner", said Dawis as he got back into his truck. Dawis had a few more words with Yass about this whole event as they shared a drink at the bar. They were both thrilled to get the generous pay, but even more so that nothing went wrong. Screenshots: ::: ^[] :::

  8. @daryl But dont you have to be spawned as the group member? What i would suggest is that you can use the feature as long as you have been give the permission in any spawn. So that you can take nice screen alone, while doing jobs, activities, RP or something.
  9. Regarding improving SR, i would suggest to add some complexity to it. Like BRs require you to crack the safes by the number minigame. For example. SR starts: yellow circle appears in the store. Somebody has to crack the 0-100 number code to start the progress bar and then after 100% need to crack 1 more 0-100 number minigame. The cracking can be done simultaneously so that multiple people can try to crack at the same time. This way cops wont have to try to get to roof and crims will have to defend more. The outcomes will be that cops maybe win more, but then also increase SR pay. We could see and balance as time goes on.
  10. @durby Another idea is to start "Pristine photos" group and with enough members, maybe the group members can get the privilige to take the photos. Like restrict who can use it, and people who abuse it will be kicked.
  11. @franklin said in Freelook noclip camera mode: -1, this won't work out well, f.e when crims want to BR they will just do /freelook and look around the banks etc to see if there are any cops nearby, it can't be done imo. Well i said disable in banks when br is happening with the radius of max freelook camera distance. that way you cannot use it in BR or any other event where such camera would give unfair advantage. Also i think it would be enough to have freelook camera some Like this: https://prnt.sc/xx4ps1
  12. Hi. Taking screenshots is pretty important to me in this server, and i try my best to get cool angles and scenery when taking my screens, but sometimes i feel like it would allow me to be way more creative with it if i had a freelook camera that can move anywhere. Sort of like in the map creator. My suggestion is as follows: add a camera mode, activated by a command (perhaps /freelook), that would allow you to freely move around the map, zoom in close, or go far back, sort of like the one in map creator. While in this camera mode you cannot move your character. Also i assume somebody will try to use it to gain advantage at certain events ingame, so maybe block the feature in close vicinity to banks when a BR is happening, etc. Maybe add a restriction to how far out can you go with the camera from your character. This would allow for more creativity with roleplays and screenshots. Edit: In retrospect of the comments, its clear some people have reasonable doubts about this system, so i will add some solutions. One problem is clearly the potential to abuse the system. Also a fact is that not everybody would feel like they want the complexity of such system so not everybody needs this. So a potential solution is to restrict this feature to a group of interested individual that have applied to have access, and in the process have been briefed about the terms of usage and punishment for breaking these rules. In case somebody abuses the system, they can be tracked down more easily. Also obvious restrictions to usage areas would need to be implemented. Such as blocking the usage of the system anywhere near an ongoing bank-robbery or event. LWS and other event groups can be given a command to block the feature in the event dimension.

  14. I also dont like the current SGT skin. Doesnt fit with the fastest car ingame. Should have been some Ferrari or Lambo. Agree with Franklin. Need more bike mods.

  16. Activity: Roleplay Date: 26-01-2021 Participants: @Denox @Nord Story: Truckers often race with deadlines on their heels. Everything needs to happen fast and efficiency, and most truckers are beyond proficient in this aspect. They start their days by examining the backlog of jobs and seeing what fits their schedule. Every route is planned down to the minute. Years of experience on the road offers privy for the clockwork that is traffic. Trucker knows the best route and the how to plan for the jams that are inevitably lie ahead. But sometimes, just sometimes things get out of hand. After a tightly busy day, the final job starts out at the wood mill of Whetstone. A trailer of logs is en route to Red County, the epicenter of hardworking San Andreasans. The safest route is the highway, but in order to spare time for the already speedy approaching deadline, a more exotic forest route is chosen. Its rough, rugged and not for the faint of heart, even for experienced drivers. Some spots are exceptionally difficult to navigate, but in theory the risk is worth it. Perhaps not today, though. A particularly challenging spot, the muddy patch over the swamp puddle, gets the best of Dawis. The tires slip such that no differential lock can aid in the situation. The truck and its load slide down onto the bank of the forest puddle. Luckily the trailer is still in a good spot to be moved. "Shit, this is the last thing I need now," mumbles Dawis to himself. After walking out of the truck and examining the grim situation, Dawis concludes that he needs some outside assistance. For such occasions the ALT hotline dispatcher is quick to connect Dawis to the quickest mechanics at the nearest town. Twenty minutes past, and Dawis spots the tow truck approaching. Out steps a rather well groomed, sharp looking gentleman with bouldering chin. "Well, looks like you have gotten ya'self in a rather fuckin' duckery situation there, friend." "Looks, like you need my help. The name's Denox, altho my pals call me Den", says the man with a smile and a cigarette between his teeth as he reaches for his lighter. "Hey, lock the differentials, I'll hook up the bull bar and you'll be outta' here in no time, pal". The mud is slippery, and the truck isn't moving. "Hey, try'ta throw some log underneath them tires" shouted Denox out the window of his towtruck. After some 5 minutes the truck got a firmer grip on the ground and pulled itself, as well as the trailer out of the swamp. "Hey, thank you very much partner," said Dawis as he reached to shake Denox hand. "Tell me what u want and u got it", added Dawis. "15 bucks and a pack of Marlboros'll do it." Finally back on the route, the road ahead was easy, but the lost time didn't cant be regained, so pedal to the metal it was. 10 past midnight the cargo approached Red County. A small farm, on the side of the highway, was its destination. After pulling over in the yard Dawis was greeted by a shabby looking old redneck fellow. "Heaven to Betsy, them logs r' here. Thank you partner. These'll keep me occupied til the cows come home, hehe. Martha got them beans cookin', come over and ill get ya' some 100 proof as a gift." Dawis kindly declined the beans but accepted the liquor. Screenshots: ::: :::
