I recieved a call from a costomer who told me that he is not able to move his car at all because for some reasons his handbrake stopped working. I asked him to give me the adress and I drove to his spot. The issue of having the handbrake is not really a common thing that I've dealt with many times but it happens for specific reasons which are mainly cold weather, low temperatures can cause handbrake mechanisms to freeze in place. Old cars In time, rust or corrosion can interfere with the handbrake, long periods without use and brute force which means being too forceful in engaging the handbrake which might accidentally jam it. I arrived at the spot and found the guy waiting, his car was parked infront of his house. I parked my car and spoke to him about the issue if he have any information that can help me. But as soon I as hopped in the car to try the handbrake myself it was completely stuck no matter how force you just give it won't work. I asked him if he has been using the handbrake aggressively and the answer was yes but he didn't know that it can be an issue. So, I had no other choice but to use my tow-truck and latch onto the car and head to my garage. When we arrived it was already late and I had to close the garage. So, I asked the man to come and check up on the car tomorrow while I take care of it. I had to follow the cable to the brake mechanism and then detaching it in order to replace it with a new cable. And everything was good ! The next day, the man came to my garage and I gave him car. He payed me and he was good to go. :::

While I was having my coffee, I recevied a call from a woman who asked me to arrive at her spot because her vehicle's brakes stopped working and gladly she wasn't driving too fast so she managed to pull over and stop the car in a safe area. So, I drove my tow-truck to her location in 10 mins. When I first arrived I saw her in a small parking lot inside her car waiting for me. I parked my car and spoke to her asking for some informations of what she was doing and how that happened. She told me that she was driving normally and somehow when she needed to slow down to make a right turn she wasn't able to use the brakes so she had to keep moving and try to park the car by slowly engaging the emergency brake and that's what happened. First thing I did, I tried to drive the car a bit and see if the brakes are really not working or just a malfunctioning just happened to her in that siutation. turned out that there's actually something wrong with the brakes. There are some few reasons in order brakes to stop working which are mainly a leak in a brake line, a loss of pressure within the master cylinder itself due to a failed seal, or air being introduced into the braking system, or just simply the hydraulic fluid which is responsible for moving the various components of the vehicle's braking system ran out. which turned out that's the case in this siutation when I check the car's hood. So, luckily in my tow-truck I had some brake fluid, I went inside the car and grabbed the bottle and came back to the lady's car. I filled the tank with the brake fuil hoping that will do the trick. I started the vehicle and tried to move forward a little and try using the brakes. And it worked ! the brake pedal was working and I was able to stop the car. The lady thanked me for helping her and I gave her few tips in order to take care more of her car and see everything possible every now and then. She gave me few cash and she drove away with her car. :::

While I'm doing that, I recieved a call from a costumer who told me that his car is not working for some reasons. By asking him what possibly can be the issue, I knew that it can only be the battery because he told me that he left the keys inserted in the car and he forgot them there which causes the vehicle to keep working (without engine running) all night long. So, I asked him if he can push the car outside and tell me his adress. Then I hopped in my tow-truck and drove to his place. I arrived at the spot gladly he wasn't far from my garage and I found him there standing waiting for me. I parked my car behind his and spoke to him about the issue exactly. And it was what I thought about, the car was on without activating the engine because he forgot to take the keys before leaving it which caused the battery to malfunction due to it working for a long period of time. In this specific case there are some simple solutions rather than completly replacing the battey with a new one, we can't charge it either because the battery is not dead it just can't start properly. I tried the simple trick which works a lot, I asked Yassinos to push the car really good while I try to start the engine at the same time while having some speed that boosts the car and make it work. We tried that trick and it actually worked ! the engine was running but wasn't quite smooth at the beginning because the car must be left working for a minimum of 30 mins so it get used to how everything should be working as it was before. I spoke with Yassinos and told him that he is able to drive with it and do whatever he wants but try to not stop the engine for a while. He agreed and I didn't ask him for money it was a simple trick but you need few men to help you push the car. Then, he hopped in his car and left the area and I got back to my garage. :::
  4. ~[Activity Number:]~(#83572a) -1- ~[Date:]~(#83572a) 3/8/2021 ~[Activity Type:]~(#83572a) Roleplay ~[Cuban Cars's members (if they are there):]~(#83572a) Our brother Hetler ~[Other participants:]~(#83572a) Youssef ~[Any Information that can be provided:]~(#83572a) ::: It's my first day being a mechanic wannabe for Cuban Cars, me and my partner Hetler were taking care of the garage for today. It was going okay we were just chilling until a phone from a custumer kicked in, his name was Youssef. He told me that his car was heavily damaged due to an accident where his car was crashed by a fallen tree when he was in the forest trying to chop down some trees. Gladly no one was harmed and the tree wasn't very old nor a giant one. So, I told him to come pay us a visit in the garage. After 10 mins, Youssef arrived at the spot and the car is really damaged, smashed windows and broken doors. I guided him to where he should park his car and he did. When Youssef stepped out of the car I asked how did that happen exactly to provide us with some informations which can come in handy while fixing the car. He told us the full story and it was challenging in order to serve in this specific case where the car is nearly destroyed but we had to do what we must do and started working. First, I tried to take a look at the car's hood and see if these parts are okay. Surprisingly not, the engine was really damaged that we were even surprised the car was able to move or even work so we had to take care of that part by replacing the engine with a new one that fits the spot and the car specifically. My partner Hetler in the other hand was trying to remove all the smashed windows and bring new one so we can replace also that part which eventually was successful gladly. apart from that there were some pieces which was smashed completly so we had to fix these parts and replace them. After few hours of working, we were able to fully fix the car and bring it back to how it used to be and even more better. Finally, our work payed off and the car was in a good shape. Youssef payed us and we told him about some few things that he must be careful about and he was good to go! :::

  7. @Jasper said in Protect Donation Vehicles: Should be with any type of vehicle, like the ones owned by gangs and squads. Nah to be honest I kinda enjoy making fireworks inside bb base and keep watching how the explosion will stop somehow hh It's a good suggestion maybe for donation cars as I don't own any, but for gangs/squads I don't think it's necessary.
