    once again it can't be a map extension because you'd need multiple thousands of dff slots available. Brophy talked about dynamic unloading or something along the lines but I have no idea what thats capable of.


    MTA can't simply add new object ID's unlike in SAMP where you can create your own img archive

    not doable
    SA map afaik is built of 6000x6000 units and SA is occupying the majority of it. anything outside the 6K can't have objects rendered although you can still fly there, iirc.
    also you would encounter issues with object replacements, you cannot simply add an additional 4000 objects to the game, only replace existing ones.


    one could argue "but hey, just merge houses and buildings into 1 dff to save space!" but that won't work too well as you'll have streaming issues of said objects being too high KB. there are also object limitations of (iirc) 255 units from one end to another. collisions will be significantly larger (assuming you merge them, duh) which often results in pressure on your computer, rather than the streamer having to load small bits at once, it will have to load large bits at once.


    this is possible on GTA SA, check GTA UNITED and other projects

    no, we compress mods (same thing as we compress shaders used on world objects) in order to bring 40mb mods into less than 1mb.


    Tahoe for instance was around 19mb if i recall and thek and i compressed it down to less than a mb at which point it was compressed even further


  5. could as well add personal shaders as donator perks but reckon it'd be a one-time donation requirement (eg 10 pounds each skin)
    shaders should be for characters, vehicles, houses/interiors and weapons


    who wouldn't want to be able to drive a crown vic with camo on it or have their own custom made one by SAES?
