[SUGGESTION] Marker abuse / Jail system

First, let's point out the problems.
The marker abuse rule is being unfair on the cop side because it is unfeasible according to the amount of prison wardens that spawn during the jb's to fit in a small space like this, somehow or another cop will have to stay on the marker for a while.

Ignoring the fact that this space is small, we could solve this problem by saying that it would be enough to move a little to the side to avoid this "marker abuse", but this is what happens when you spend time moving to the side :

Thinking about the criminal side, you shoot 2/3 times with a sniper at a cop on the marker and his life always goes back to normal (100%) while he is shooting you until he arrests you.


Without a doubt, both sides are being harmed.


In addition, criminals are constantly killing criminals and cops killing cops unintentionally because the corridors of this jail are very narrow spaces.


Temporary solution:
~[Cop side:]~(cyan) Invalidate the "marker abuse" rule in jail, since protection ends after approximately 3 seconds, just like the marker protection on the crimminal side
~[Crim side:]~(sienna) Waiting for the final solution, criminals don't need to benefit right now. Crim side already benefits from the number of players:

Definitive solution: I know that the administration of saes is very busy with several tasks but I believe it is time to change this jail system that has already caused several problems to the server.

That is not correct. Perhaps it take you personally more time to load the interior than the protection lasts, but it is there.



we can test later if want, you get arrested before the map even loaded

Yes there is a marker protection against arresting aslong as u stay in the marker. If you move a lil bit the marker protection disappears.
Why not take that concept and implement into taking damage also. Currently the marker protects your health for ~3seconds when u touch the marker ( you can still move abit in the marker and have marker protection against damage. f.e entering jail, crouching and rolling to the right - you will still have protection cause some of your body still touches marker). But that means the script has to be changed and idk who can be arsed to do that.
Also who enters the marker will have protection against arresting and damage - thats how criminals and some cops abuse the marker system. If im not wrong SAES already has a script that can counter that. Some markers teleport you instantly. They are used in the dm area(dust 2) for warps. Currently the marker system that is in use fades you into the jail which grants you protection(both against arrest and damage).

I agree with your arguments, however the solution that you propose will not work, there are criminals that roam the corridor and even so if you do not move when entering the jail, you die on the scoreboard when entering the jail, the 3 seconds of immunity from marker death is not working. Even Law published a video of a JB, and it shows that ~["minute 3:10"]~(red) does not work, not even HLS could enter because they died instantly.

My final proposal will always be to change the map of the jail, that no administrator has taken care of this, when there are already new maps and many proposals about the interior of the jail. They should even do a contest about this.


Another temporary proposal, would be to expand the area where "prison wander trainee" can use the M4, and not be eliminated, when you cross the gate, so that they can enter from the external door

just sounds like someone butthurt they got reported for marker abusing too many times. Learn how to move out the marker for once or maybe use the other entrance? You Dogs of Kain always act like you can't climb objects cause your arms and legs are suddenly broken or the front entrance marker is suddenly broken. Literally never been an issue till now.

You're actually right about the roof marker having no arrest protection, but it also has NO type of protection AT ALL, so it's not just criminals but cops always get marker killed in that one.



& i already thought iam to high to notice : D

Why you focus on the things other people have and leaving things you have ? 1-CLO has armor too and it's with criminals 2-DE can't arrest and it's helping only if there's a CLO 3- If you will talk about special groups helping in arresting then don't mention DE, It's like HLS and cops vs CLO and criminals, Fair enough as I see :wink:

I dont get thing, crying about CLO, When HLS got killed they respawn in their houses 50m from jail, it takes like hmm lets think, 2 secs? Also HLS can't get arrested. And once that CLO get arrested they ve to wait hmm, 400 secs ? So by looking on this like thatt HLS can respawn 200 times during CLO 1 jail. HLS vs CLO is fine, as long as CLO have headshot, they can 1 shot 200 hp, but normal criminals? 1 HLS vs 4 criminals mainly will get 1 arrest before other 3 criminals will take his armor and hp off :)

1-Only Kain and Daryl and maybe some other HLS that has properties near jail 2-DE can't arrest it's only HLS and cops and all of you know that CLO activity is better than HLS and DE activity, At all situations CLO are more than HLS, Also if you keep commenting on this topic then you know that you are really abusing the jail marker, Because if you don't then why you keep commenting on this topic to defend the abuse ? :thinking_face:
