  3. Roleplay #407 - The Veteran and the Rookie Participants: @The-Company Carlos Vasquez is a name every associate and employee of The Company has heard at least once. A name that is often feared, but one that proved to be very useful at times. Once a ruthless hitman, Carlos now spends his days in his subtle Chinatown apartment watching sports, betting on it and enjoying the period of peace. The said period of peace came to a sudden halt however. Carlos blessing of murdering people and making it look like a piece of art had turned into his curse - the High Council was out to erase the person who is aware of dozens of assassinations and murders. Should this information get released, many of The Companys assets would be in hot waters. To Carlos luck the High Council did not consider him to be much of a threat anymore so they sent Anthony DiRocco, a novice assassin, after him. Anthony had yet to have proven himself to be worthy enough to carry out high profile hits - this was his first significant one. You could say that this was considered a test. Anthonys only piece of information about his target was a piece of paper that described a street corner in Chinatown with an exact date and time written on the bottom left corner. Without asking any more questions Anthony waited till the day and made his way over to Chinatown. Waiting for Anthony was an older, flimsy looking Asian man. Anthony, the novice assassin he is, followed protocol and casually approached the Asian man. Anthony asked the man about the piece of paper and the man gently nodded, took out a local Chinatown tourist flyer and pointed on a building. Then he put up two fingers, signalling that the target would be on the second floor. With instructions received, Anthony made his way over to the building shown on the flyer. To Anthonys dismay, it turned out that the first floor of the building consists of a betting shop. His mind wandered over to the thoughts of having to murder somebody with bystanders present. Although a novice, a murder with unnecessary pairs of eyes standing a few meters away was not his style. Anthony approached the door but noticed that the sign said that they had closed shop about 2 hours before Anthonys arrival. Happy days. He tried the front door, which surprisingly enough was open. He inaudibly thanked the flimsy Asian man and felt a sudden surge in confidence. He reached his hand over to the side of his waistcoat and pulled out a pistol while opening the door to go upstairs. Once upstairs, Anthonys nose caught the smell of cheap pepperoni pizza and cheap Pisswasser beer coming from one of the rooms. He felt even more confident and thought about this being another simple target, perhaps another nobody. He took the smell of pizza as a cue and slowly opened the door. He was met with loud blaring coming from the TV. Anthony kept creeping through the entrance hallway into the living room. Anthony slowly peeked the doorframe into the living room. He quickly scanned the room for people and saw only one person sitting on the couch. As soon as their eyes locked, Anthonys confidence was gone and the only thing holding on to Anthonys last piece of confidence was the piece in his hand. He immediately came to the realisation that his target was none other than the person whose hit list was more diverse than the French society. Time froze for Anthony in that moment. While Anthony was frozen in thought, Carlos grabbed the closest item in his hand reach and chucked the pepperoni pizza box at Anthony, an action that made Anthony come to his senses and forced him to raise his pistol at Carlos. Carlos was agile enough to get up after the throw and push Anthony into the doorframe. Carlos was unarmed and had nothing except for a pair of quick feet on which he bet his life. While making his way through the staircase and the betting shop on the first floor, the only other plan Carlos had was to quickly snatch the car keys from behind the counter and run out through the back door. At that moment the most important thing for Carlos was to get out of there and rearm at another one of his properties in the forests of Whetstone. The young and agile Anthony was quickly catching up to the veteran assassins slower pace, much to the veterans dismay. However what Anthony lacked was knowledge of Chinatowns shady back alleys and tight corners, something that Carlos skillfully used to his advantage to put more distance between him and the angel of death that was after him. Trying to sprint through the back alleys had taken a toll on Carlos, who recently celebrated his 55th birthday. Fortunately for him he could see his getaway vehicle from afar, it was only a short staircase away. Anthony was getting closer and seeing how his fear had become his prey, he felt his confidence rising once again. After an excruciating sprint down the staircase Carlos had made it to his car. He quickly used the grabbed keys to try to open the door. In the heat of the chase and all the built up adrenaline, he had trouble opening the door at first, which momentarily made Carlos think whether he grabbed the correct set of keys. Fortunately Carlos luck had once again saved him because after the second try the car door unlocked and he was able to quickly leg it. Anthony, having caught up with Carlos, decided that Carlos would be able to drive away before he reached the car so the best course of action would be to try to let God guide the bullet into Carlos' skull. However, Carlos experience once again got one over Anthonys novelty and he was able to shift gears and drive away before Anthony could place an accurate shot. Carlos next stop would be in Angel Pine while Anthony went back to the apartment to look for information that could help pinpoint Carlos next stop. Anthony knew very well that he could not fail this assignment.
  4. Topic's been up for 4 hours though. The SAES administration has time to ban the guy who criticizes, but when it comes to creating a response then suddenly it's time to play some No Man's Sky!
  5. Maybe people make such topics anonymously because as we have witnessed here, the account gets banned and there's yet to be a response from Brophy? So far all he has done is like one of your posts here, Jay. Probably going to get banned myself now, but it is what it is.

(RP) Details: I had just escaped the rain outside and placed my bottom on the chair. Thoughts from earlier would not escape my head. I kept asking myself questions about the red Admiral. It was weird, in fact the whole accident had weird written all over it. Either way after five minutes of trying to warm myself up, I got a call from Maria Mendez. I must say she is one interesting woman, but that did not matter. She called me to say her son had not come home. I told her to come over to the station. Maybe the thought of me inviting her to the station simply because I was cold has crossed your mind already, but I assure you it's just procedure. She arrived to the station shortly after. Meanwhile I had prepared two cups of hot coffee. She took off her wet raincoat and sat down. I asked her about Ramon, her son. You know, just the standard questions of where did she last see him, would he have any reason to run off et cetera. Most of these questions were just to make her focus on answering the questions, not pouring out more tears than there's rain outside. I know Ramon, maybe a bit of a nuisance but overall a good kid. The questions proved to be useful though as Maria told me that the last place Ramon was seen was in Dillimore, the Welcome Pump saloon. I sent Maria on her way after a cup of coffee and decided to take a look at the place. Truly a weird place for a kid to spend his time at. The Welcome Pump is mostly a meeting place for greasy truckers and the night butterflies. Anyhow, I made my way inside to be greeted by Larry. I tried to make my visit there as brief as possible because it was Saturday and Saturdays are for Dillimore Fight Nights. To my surprise Martin was absent from the chaos. I asked Larry about Ramon and showed him a picture Maria had given me. Larry confirmed Ramon's presence in the saloon a few hours earlier and also told me he left for his wooden hut in the forest. The hut was a new clue since Maria had not told me anything about it. Unfortunately Larry could not provide me with any exact information of the hut's whereabouts. It was getting dark outside which also meant it was beginning to get colder. Before heading out I called Maria to ask her whether Ramon had come home already. To my dismay Ramon had not returned home. I had driven around for a good hour in the woods around the area. It either had to be a very small hut or either Larry was lied to about the hut's existence. I was already at the county limit but I decided to check the bordering area between Whetstone and Red County. It's a terrible terrain to navigate as nobody ever goes there. As that thought crossed my mind, I became more worried. Fortunately after a little more driving around I found a shack that may belong to Ramon. It sure as hell did not look like a hut though. I stopped my vehicle and stepped out. It looked like the shack had been long abandoned and most likely looted as it did not even have a door. Not to speak about the windows. I had a gut feeling that the chances of me finding Ramon in that shack were low. I took cautious steps forward till I reached the shack's doorway. I peeked in but I could not see anything. I took out my flashlight and stepped in. The shack was empty. I did find a piece of rope on the ground. I took pictures of it from every possible angle. I bagged it and took it with me. It was late and I was the only person in the department so I headed back to prepare documentation and manage the evidence. As the last thing for the day I sat down behind the table once again and created a missing person's poster for Ramon so we could act quickly when it's needed.

Today was quite interesting, definitely more interesting than the last few shifts. Phil assigned me to the rural highways in Red County. They're usually quiet except for a few deers who have trouble crossing the road. Why do I like it though? Because of the scenery. It's a beautiful place with rivers, half-caves and a nice contrast between dots of forest and the fields. About a quarter into my shift dispatch told me to check out Sheryl Langerton's hut in the hills. She'd apparently heard some noise outside and was afraid of checking it out by herself. I drove up the forested hill and took a look around the yard. There was nothing but the quiet echo of the winds blowing through the trees. I knocked on Sheryl's door and informed her. My shift ended in a delicious way. I had a quick meal at my favourite donut joint. Tony was serving as usual and the clienture for today was low. I went with my usual strawberry coated donuts. I should probably look into my eating habits. I already had trouble catching up to Shaundi and Mark last week after the Gluckomanes' concert in Dillimore.

Involved SAI members: Chase Turner (Mickey) Other involved people: N/A Date, time and duration of activity: 12/10/2019, around 30 minutes Activity type: Patrol Details: This morning, like many others, was quiet. I began my shift by filling in paperwork. Martha was ill again and I needed to put a tick in 5 different places all by myself, how tedious. After almost falling asleep behind the wheel battling bureaucracy I did a quick swoop of the LS-SF highway to check whether the nightly temperatures had affected the condition of the highway. The highway had survived the night. Before I could reach the Las Venturas intersection, I spotted two pals on a morning stroll in their neon coloured vehicles. For a moment I thought to myself of pulling them over for a quick inspection, but I let it slip due to the previously done paperwork which had given me a headache. Other than the neon-pals and the sneaky temperature there were no events that I should have responded to. My shift began and ended the same way, a whole lot of paperwork.
