In a daring and a violent attack yesterday, the Cuban Liberation Organization (CLO) launched a very well orchestrated attack on the white house in one of the rare incidents for the notorious group to strike that deep into the capital's heart. the terrifying results of the attack are considered a worrying indicator to how CLO's operations evolved to become more complex, cunning, and more vicious than before.

it all started after the president @Weppo gave his speech in the senate's hall about the government efforts to fight CLO's recent attacks and gathering support for Desert Eagles operations to take down their recently announced "most wanted state enemies" list that includes information about many prominent CLO leaders and members. after the speech the president's motorcade started moving back the white house in what seemed to be just another normal day.

according to our sources, CLO took the chance of law enforcement groups (including SS) being busy with the president around the senate hall and moved in a large force in what seemed to be a well planned scenario and hid around the white house after subduing the guards at the gates. once the president's motorcade passed the gates CLO commenced their attack with most of their forces ambushing the motorcade using modified armored cars, assault rifles, and sniper rifles, while another small taskforce of CLO operatives infiltrated the White House targeting the Vice president.

The Secret Service and Desert Eagles made heroic efforts to counter fire while frantically trying to evacuate the president to a safe spot saved the grim day from becoming even worse. many agents falling in battle with the president himself being shot multiple times, and while the bullet proof kevlar vest the president was wearing under his suite saved his life, he didn't leave the scene unscathed as he received a bullet to his knee. but eventually the SS efforts paid off and the president was quickly evacuated alive from the scene during the battle and is currently en route to an undisclosed location aboard air force one for further treatment but his condition is stable.

As for the situation inside the white house, it wasnt anywhere better as a small taskforce of CLO successfully infiltrated the white house and wreaked havoc beyond imagination within the short time they spent inside it. reports claim that CLO killed many prominent government staff who were inside the white house and even reached the vice president office delivering multiple gun shots to his chest. after CLO's withdrawal from the area the vice president was found in a very bad shape and with all efforts to resuscitate him within the building failed he was rushed to Los Santos hospital by a helicopter where he remains in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). medical staff are reportedly working around the clock to stabilize him.

 Despite the scale of the attack and the shockwave it sent throughout the whole country, the government has not yet released any official statement regarding how are they going to respond to the attack, and the government spokesman kindly declined our request to provide any more details about the full scale of damage and the number of casualties this attack has caused.

In a highly anticipated court session held at the Los Santos court, the notorious Mr. Mounir bin Ahmed confronted serious allegations of multiple rule breaks that raised concerns among many San Andreas citizens. The courtroom was packed with spectators eager to witness the proceedings, with the esteemed Judge @Teddypresiding.  
Mr. Mounir faced two serious charges: 1 count of deathmatching of an elderly woman in LVX area and 1 count of sexual assault against @Linkan who was also present in the courtroom. The prosecution was led by Mr. @Terry, representing Mr. Linkan, while Mr. Mounir's defense attorney was Mr. @Sparrow

The courtroom atmosphere was tense as Mr. Sparrow’s defense plea caused him to be accused of displaying unacceptable behavior during the trial after several witnesses, led by Mr. @Hesha, reported multiple interruptions and attempts to intimidate them, this led to a complaint being filed to Judge Teddy.
While many players expressed their desire for a strong conviction on both counts, the foreman of Jury Mr.ESO  announced the jury's verdict after a noticeable long deliberation, ultimately the final verdict resulted in Mr.Mounir being convicted on one charge of deathmatching while being acquitted on the sexual assault case. an outcome that left both the prosecution and defense frustrated for not reaching a "perfect" result.

after the trial, The Daily Cuban got in contact with both Mr.Sparrow & Mr.Terry for a statement following the court and both were generous enough to give our reporter a quick interview, and here is what they said:

- Mr.Sparrow, we would like to hear your comment about the trial of and how do you see your client situation and what is your opinion about the court verdict?
= My client has been a subject of racism and injustice, he is being treated unfairly in this trial, All of those allegations are based on lies, Mr.Mounir deserves a fair trial and for people to hear him out, instead,  he is always being silenced and segregated from other people, I demand justice and I call people to stop spreading false allegations on my client


- there has been reports of other cases against Mr.Mounir that shall be brought to court soon with other allegations against him, are you planning to continue the legal battle with your client?
= I will be always fighting for justice and freedom for every citizen in this country, and mr.mounir is no stranger to this example, i will do my best to bring swift justice


- Are you happy with the DM verdict against your client today? 
= no, i will be appealing this verdict and every misjudgment made by the court to defend my client against any allegations that come his way.


- anything else you would like to share with the public?
= I’d like to address to people who keep spreading these heinous allegations on my client to be ashamed and embarrassed, my client is innocent and he is an upstanding citizen that follows the rules

- Mr.Terry, we would like to hear your comment about the trial of and how do you see your client situation and what is your opinion about the court verdict?
= We were hoping to get a conviction on both accusations as that's what we felt was right and we are a little frustrated he was only convicted of one, but that's something too.


- We just had an interview with Mr.Sparrow the defendant's attorney who vowed to appeal the court verdict for the DM case and to continue the legal battle until he proves the innocence of his client, any comments about this?
= The defendant attorney Mr.Sparrow has shown an unacceptable behavior in court, we don't know how he wasn't forced out of the courtroom as he kept on interrupting our witnesses on stand multiple times despite many warnings, and he tried to intimidate the witnesses/jurors. It's totally unacceptable, we will be filing a complaint to the San Andreas bar to get him discharged for tampering with the jury and witnesses. 


- anything else you would like to share with the public?
= That's all we can say for now. We will not be scared off, we are not victims, we are fighters and we will fight till the end and we will never die.
 

in an exclusive for our newspaper - The Daily Cuban - our reporter Mr.Castro was able to meet the president of San Andreas President.Schmidt  @Weppo  for a short interview to address some recent questions and concerns by both Cuban residences and San Andreas nationals alike.

Q: Thank you for agreeing to meet us Mr.President despite your tight schedule. first of all, how do you see the performance of the government so far under your term, would you say it meets the expectations of the citizens of San Andreas?
A: our government is performing exceptionally well since the introduction of the Cuban tax bill, crime rates have been going down and citizens have never been more secure, we are getting richer and richer and our banks aren't being robbed nearly as much as before.

Q: as a Cuban national myself, and with the rising tensions between the Cuban Liberation Organization and the Desert Eagles, there has been reports of targeting and discrimination towards Cuban residences in here, what's your comment about the matter?
A: our great country has many Cubans with good jobs and opportunities, we're working hard to keep illegal ones out but we don't act based on any discrimination.

Q: so is your government open to merge Cuban immigrants as part of the San Andreas community or does it prefer decreasing the number of said immigrants?
A: We welcome all immigrants as long as they come legally, we welcome everyone to merge in our great country as long as they come legally. unfortunate the Cuban Liberation Organization has caused an increase in illegal ones, those have to stop.

Q: there has been rumors about a recent rise of the activities of the Cuban Liberation Organization targeting recruiting more members, how is the government preparing to face that and should we expect escalations?
A: if DE has to act, they will. CLO are terrorists, as long as they don't act according to our laws they will meet justice.

Q: would you say the cooperation between DE and other law enforcement organizations has been optimal? specially in light of past tensions between DE and other law enforcement groups, how has that tension affect the operations and how solving it has gone so far?
A: yes there was an internal indifference in terms of jurisdiction between different law enforcement organizations, but those have been resolved now. each organization will do their part of making San Andreas safe.


Q: moving on to a different topic, the recent reports of the San Andreas federal bank states that our reserve has passed 53.5 billion dollars, is there any upcoming changes in the tax system planned?
A: we have no plan on changing our taxes as long as we are profiting as a whole, i think our citizens will agree that being rich isn't that bad.

Q: but with the big demands on both civilian and military needs, how do you think the government can balance the situation? there are many places that needs infrastructure work and other places need urgent development (like groove street area in Los Santos), while in the same time meet the demands of DE in the ensuing wars with CLO?   
A: our military efforts are funded by the introduction of the Cuban Oil tax bill, but yes, there are great many places which needs our help but unfortunately we can not be everywhere at the same time. groove street for example is a work in progress. meanwhile we are doing our best to keep the non-working illegals out of San Andreas.

Q: There has been complains from some counties regarding the "lack of effort" from their mayors in the absence of senators, would you encourage a sooner elections?
A: well, it's true. you haven't seen our senators correct mayors for a while. we have been battling Cuban corruption and unfortunately this meant that half of our senate was fired, we are running short on senators and we're working overtime in the office.


Q: so would you agree that this is the perfect time for "new blood" or should that be later?
A: I've been trying to get additional team for a year, but it's not going as i intended. its out of my hands. it does mean that i have a more influential role in the senate to help them accomplish their goals.

Q: for the healthcare system, while progress has was noticeable in major cities there are still complains in far away counties, how long do you expect before the system can cover San Andreas as a whole and how do you see the efforts of organizations like San Andreas Medics in the matter?
A: considering the healthcare system is a private one, i will advice you to take it up with the companies, we don't make decisions for where and how they are working.
