Just to keep you guys aware. I've added additional resources to the machine that runs the MTA server. I've also been looking at our monitoring service which captures all the usage data for the server, the server itself even before I added the additional resources was running comfortably and there are no apparent network or CPU spikes which would indicate this lag is being caused by the server. This would indicate the spike is more than likely happening in one or more client-sided scripts, we will be trying to track this down in the next few days but if you do experience this tonight when the server is busier, can you please reply to this topic which what you remember doing at the time and what's currently showing up on chat, topbar, was an event starting or anything else etc......

It has been temporarily disabled until we can change some of the hardcoded features associated with it. Basically we've got tribes of people going around the forum and disliking every single post of a person because they don't like them and it's interfering with their ability to control certain actions such as basic profile changes etc. Yet again a small number of the community find some else to abuse....

The current lag issue affecting all users on the server (especially when we have higher player counts) should be resolved as of last night after the crash/reboot. You will still get the little ones as you near bases while they load until we sort asynchronous loading for them

I believe the spikes you get are when you go near a gang base (that isn't loaded) once it loads, you should be fine until the next time you connect, we did it this way to stop it loading on connect/login as some people was sitting at the login screen for over 2 minutes. We are looking at loading bases asynchronously to get rid of the issue either way, but I cant give a definitive timescale on when that will be done. Keep an eye on discord and the news forum of the forum, we will update you guys once we have found the issue with the lag.

There is no need for a better server, we run a dedicated server that's more than capable of running MTA. It runs all our services, so if it was a 'shit server' then all the services would be acting up. The lag is being investigated and it's possible that a resource within the SAES gamemode could be causing it now that we've started to get a greater number of players again.
