Cause Crims have way more to do and also have way better weapons.

Cops have a taser and a stick to use for arrest. Crims can use Nades, Combat shotgun and Snipers (which provides a stun effect).

It's just not fun for someone to end a chase, only to be killed cause the crim sprayed 10 shotgun shots.

Ain't nobody stopping you to use the ''criminal'' weapons besides the nades

Except a cops role is to arrest, not kill (we aren't even rewared outside of BR and JB

Maybe because the cop side doesn't have something specific and appealing to attract more players in it. As someone said once, the cop side relies heavily on the criminal side for the activities.

I'd say the cop side needs some kind of activities that they can start and make money, like the criminals do with transporter, SR and so, that doesn't neccessarily require the criminals presence in it, altough their interference would be welcomed.

Something like: "A banktransport has been spawned at the LSPD, escort it to LV Bank"

I agree with Blizzard, this imbalance isn't about one side's being more powered than the other. Cops are dependent on criminals for their gameplay. So all they can do is stopping criminals from doing something. When criminals do not do anything or when a cop fails to stop them on their own, criminal side looks more attractive. For example I do play as a cop only when I have a companion with me. Because playing as a cop when you are alone is not amusing at all.

This imbalance might be due to the players who do not have a companion/friend to play with them. So they basically choose to play as a criminal.

Oh yes I agree with the fact that the cop side is heavily dependent on criminals and there is no individuality to earn money. Maybe a script that pays cops take a police truck full of criminals from a PD to the jail and the cop gets paid for that, similar to the transporter?

Everything a squad member can do, a trainee can do too, expect for radio usage. He can attend turfs, rp(if he wants too), arrest, go to brs, have access to police vehicles and aircraft, like the only benefit they gain from joining a squad are the weapons, which can be bought, but there is state trooper spawn. In the meantime gangs offer a lot more possibilities like turfs, brs, gang robberies. Also the formats on cop side and the rp character you should maintain forces the players to be very serious some times, also bad management of some squads hq teams, example inviting everyone. In the end even in real life, there are more crims than cops, server would be unbalanced if crims and cops ratio were the same.

It is simple, lack of content for squads.

As many have identified above, there is more attracting stuff to do as a criminal, more options for gameplay. Like the only thing for cops that is non-criminal reliant is the VIP escort as we can do that alone, however to make it fun, it does require criminal activity. So we are purely relying on people playing as criminal.

There needs to be more ingame scripts/activities for cops to do without requiring the need for people playing as criminals.

Squads are dieing, its VERY hard to keep people interested and gain new members. Everytime someone leaves the reason is 99% of the time, I am bored and want to play as criminal. So what can we do to convince them? We cant as we have nothing to convince them with.

Once squads die, than it will just kill the server as than criminals will get bored. So yeah, SAES really needs to think of something and develop it fast if it wants to keep its squads alive for longer.

Also one big part of the police side was the ROLEPLAY but lets be honest, roleplay has disappeared from SAES. No one really does it anymore because people cant be asked anymore. People are now just like, oh well its an RPG server so its not pure roleplay is it......

Well it was and thats why a lot of people have left, because roleplay has gone and that was one of the reasons for MANY people joining cops. To do police roleplays.

One idea for a script could be, if cops prevent a BR from completing than a transport mission should occur to collect the money from the Bank that was being robbed and drop it to a secure location, or another bank. That is becasue the bank being robbed is vunerable and needs repaired due to the damaged caused by criminals. So in the mean time the money is moved to another secure location. This is a way to reward squads for preventing the bank from being robbed. The payout could be 50k per squad member.

That idea is literally the same as another server, so I doubt it would be a good idea to use the same idea.

i'll tell you what, first of all you need to have a decent english skills to find your self in cop side also you need to be asslicker as well, second you need to learn alot to succes like radio codes, roleplay things such as know how to use the right animation how to handle the situation..etc, also to succes in cop side you have to join sapa and break your head out to be procop member ( if you have a good english skills ) if not sadly you will die there, also you have to try your best to be a desert eagle members ( if you are not part of fox or swat don't try to ), about criminal life you spawn as crim go sr/br/jb and then re-do the samething nothing annoying and nothing hard, that's why criminal activity are higher as i think

sorry for bad grammar, and yeah i am out of what you are guys saying but it doesn't matter

@Gengar But that is what scripts are for, to create new features.

Look at Arma 3 for example, Arma 3 is a milsim but it has been scripted to create Altis Life, where rebels play against cops and it works very well.

Even if a game is made for a specific role, it can also be modified do suit other roles.

@Gengar Altis Life is RPG though, it has script based civilian jobs, criminal jobs including bankrobberies, store robberies, growing drugs, processing drugs, selling it to a NPC which usually leads to conflict between factions. It's pretty much cops vs robbers with civilian stuff inbetween just like SAES.

@Piercee
I don't know about that. As I said, I don't play Arma, so I probably made wrong assumption on Altis Life (haven't even heard about it before it was mentioned on this topic). I still think you can't compare Grand Theft Auto and Arma, but I definitely need to do some investigation to know thing, or two about Arma and Altis if we are going to discuss that.

That a side, SAES definitely has a lot of room to improve some aspects of gameplay on all 3 sides. But I don't believe any new script, or improvement to police side would transfer hard core criminal orientated players to police side. That's just the nature of people who are playing GTA. We all come here to escape from real life for one reason, or another and we all come here to do things we can't, or shouldn't do in real life.

Well aye, I played Arma 3 initially for the RPG servers and the RP it provided, I played criminal in gangs most of my life on Altis Life, the same as I did on MTA. Purely because I enjoy it more.
Funnily enough I've played that for 4 years or so and ended up in the same gang as Joshbond at some point, yes he played a criminal on Altis Life too.

Tbh there's an even more close to San Andreas look on Arma 3, and it's called city life. Should look into that too so you get a bit of an idea, there's been medics and mech factions on most of my servers along with a global police, military too often.

I don't know if you're interested but this is a faction I wrote out a few years ago.
I'm trying to refind the entire police force I wrote out for another server but I can't find it quickly.

But yeah overall less people are interested in legal sides, often police. That's also because alot of people spend most of their life abiding the law and being good citizens, on a game they can have the guilty pleasure of being a criminal and earning money off of illegal actions. Which I understand, I've been in AA since 2012 so I can obviously relate to that.

Taze-Arrest, while crims can do bank robberies themselves help in each other, turfs which is rly fun, PBR planning and doing it, jail breaks by communicating and pew pew cops. All cops do - taze and arrest in all of the named above, no fun in that. Crim side has better community also. I know it, np, best explanation so far.
