    The Music Producer · Idea of the project The idea was to design a modern house that would serve as a creative space for a music producer. The entertainment room was intended not for parties, but as a sound studio completely soundproof from the outside while achieving perfect acoustics on the inside. · Client information: The client is a young music producer known as Stryke Beats, who earns a substantial income creating beats for prominent artists. He desired a place away from the noise of the city. · Offered compensation: $125 000. He also said I get free entry to his club nights for life, which is a funny form of payment. · Estimated project duration: The project was expected to take six weeks, and was finished in 5 weeks and 6 days. · Main construction components: The house included a special floating concrete slab designed to absorb vibrations, a timber frame with additional wall space, a kitchen and lounge area, a dedicated studio room, a small bar area with tables included, a home office, the main bedroom, and a covered parking spot for his luxury cars. · Steps undertaken in construction: 1. Cleared the land and poured a foundation 2. Poured the specialized slab, which was a first for me. 3. Built the frame with double walls in the studio area. 4. Packed the walls with acoustic foam and special vinyl sheets. 5. Ran plumbing lines as well as separate, shielded electrical lines to stop humming in his equipment. 6. Installed thick windows in the studio. 7. Finished with interiors, landscaping, and paving the carport. · Materials used: Concrete pillars, Steel pillars, concrete decking, Acoustic foam, mass-loaded vinyl, resilient channels, triple-pane glass, and a lot of expensive wiring. · Difficulties encountered: Sourcing the special acoustic materials was a nightmare. Everything was on backorder. Then, building the room within a room for the studio was like a giant puzzle. We messed up the measurements once and had to take an entire wall down. The client was definitely not too happy with this. Eventually, we were on the right path again, and the project went smoothly. · Client satisfaction: He entered, his head spinning and eyes wide, then paused in silence. Suddenly, he clapped his hands slowly once and said, 'Yeah. This is the one.' He tested the sound, grinning like an idiot, and paid without hesitation.
