  4. Date: 12/11/2023 Activity: Trucker: Refilling 30 Gas Stations + 3 Refills ๐Ÿšš RickJ's Epic Fuel Odyssey Across San Andreas ๐ŸŒ Introduction: Hey GXT Family and San Andreas Community! ๐Ÿ‘‹ I'm RickJ, the newest member on the block, sporting our vibrant orange GXT gear. I'm here to share an adventure that's not just about trucking but about determination, the beauty of San Andreas, and the thrills of being a GXT trucker. So buckle up, and let's hit the road! ๐Ÿš›๐Ÿ’จ ๐Ÿœ๏ธ The Grand Tour: A Journey Like No Other Starting Line: Filling up my trusty DFT-30 Tanker in the heart of the San Andreas Desert. This orange beast, equipped with Nitro, was ready to conquer every terrain! First Leg: Desert Dunes and Dusty Trails Filled up every gas station in the desert, battling sandstorms and the relentless sun. The scenery was a blend of serene emptiness and rugged beauty, making it a unique start to the journey. "That sandstorm in the desert almost had me, but the old DFT-30 isn't one to back down!" Stop 1: Stop 2: Stop 3: Stop 4: Las Venturas Lights๐Ÿœ: After a quick tanker refill, I ventured into the glitzy streets of Las Venturas. The stark contrast from the desert's solitude to the bustling city life was exhilarating! "Las Venturas, you're as bright as ever, but those streets aren't made for tankers!" Refill: Stop 5: Stop 6: (Where I had to Bribe the Cop ๐Ÿšจ) "In San Andreas, it seems like the cops are more interested in filling their pockets than their patrol cars! Met one at the airport, and let's just say, a few bucks made my tanker seem invisible. It's like they've got a 'bribe detector' instead of a radar!" ๐Ÿš”๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ˜‚ Stop 7: Stop 8: Stop 9: Stop 10: Stop 11: Stop 12: Stop 13: Bone County and Beyond: My next stop was Bone County, where the landscapes whispered tales of untold adventures, leading me to the vibrant heart of Los Santos. "In Bone County, the folks are as strong as their coffee and twice as stubborn! Stopped for a quick coffee at Starbucks, and let me tell ya: trying to explain a 'Cappucino with a Stroopwafel' to a local there was like teaching a cat to bark. They looked at me as if I was speaking alien, and I swear, one of them offered me: 'good olโ€™ black coffee' like it was a peace offering. Gotta love the charm of redneck hospitality!" โ˜•๐Ÿ˜‚๐ŸŒต Stop 14: Stop 15: Stop 16: Stop 17: Stop 18: Los Santos Loop: After a strategic refill near the dance hall, the urban jungle of Los Santos presented its own set of challenges - traffic, tight corners, and the most diverse crowd in San Andreas. "Los Santos, your traffic is a puzzle, but it's nothing a GXT trucker can't handle!" Stop 19: Stop 20: The Scenic Route to San Fierro ๐Ÿ™: Heading to the Bay Area and San Fierro, the journey took a scenic turn. The rolling hills and the foggy mornings added a mystical charm to the drive. But first I had to refill the tanker. "Driving in San Fierro is like being in a 'Hill Climbing' video game โ€“ except it's real life, and there are no restarts. Those hills are so steep, I thought my truck would flip over and turn into a Transformer!" ๐Ÿššโ›ท๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘พ Refill: Stop 21: Stop 22: Stop 23: Stop 24: Stop 25: Stop 26: Mountain Majesty๐Ÿ”: The final stretch took me around the base of Mt. Chiliad, showcasing some of the most breathtaking views San Andreas has to offer. "Met a black cop at Mt. Chiliad who was as chill as the altitude. He saw me, took a whiff of the mountain air, and joked, 'What are you hauling in that tanker, rocket fuel or just some of San Andreas' finest green?' Guess the high altitude brings a whole new meaning to 'getting high'!" ๐Ÿšš๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ˜‚ Stop 27: Stop 28: Stop 29: Finale at San Fierro Airport๐Ÿ›ซ : Ending the journey where planes meet the pavement, felt like a fitting close to an incredible adventure. "Pulling up to San Fierro's airport with my tanker, I felt like I was in the wrong transport league. I joked with the ground crew, 'You sure you don't want me to refuel one of those planes? I'm pretty skilled at filling tanks, and hey, how different can it be?' Their laughter was as loud as a jet engine!" ๐Ÿššโœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ›ซ Stop 30: ๐Ÿšš Vehicle Companion: My Trusty Orange DFT-30 Tanker This isn't just any truck. It's a powerhouse that carried me through deserts, urban landscapes, and steep San Fierro streets. It's more than a vehicle; it's a dependable partner in my GXT journey. ๐Ÿ’ก Reflections and Lessons Learned This journey wasn't just about delivering fuel; it was about proving my courage. Each mile taught me resilience, adaptability, and the true spirit of a GXT trucker. It's a ride that's honed my skills and fueled my passion for trucking. ๐Ÿ‘ฅ Encounters and Interactions Halfway through Las Venturas, an encounter with a cop became a memorable part of the trip. A small bribe (shh! ๐Ÿคซ), and I was back on the road. It's these unexpected moments that make trucking in San Andreas so unpredictable and fun! ๐Ÿค Your Turn, GXT Family! I'd love to hear your thoughts on my adventure! Any memorable moments from your trucking escapades? Let's share stories and keep the wheels rolling! Challenge: Can anyone beat my record of refueling every gas station in a single trip? ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ Drive safe and keep trucking, RickJ ๐Ÿš›๐Ÿงก
  5. @JoGe No, well the only same thing is the computer idea. But hey you need a menu somewhere lol
  6. Hello everyone, After the amazing feedback I received from my other topic: "Make Trucking Great Again" https://saesrpg.uk/topic/4752/make-trucking-great-again/9 I thought I'd share some ideas I had on businesses in this server. As of right now, it seems to me (haven't owned one) that a business is purely an investment which returns an X amount a day. I found this disappointing as there's so much more we could do with this! Owning a business should be profitable but also time-consuming matter. Committing to a business means, you'll be coming back to the server and making sure things run as supposed to. What I had in mind: There should be a general worker job which allows you to work for these business owners. Example, I just bought the Well stacked pizza co. near grove street! I run into my store and walk to the computer, this opens a menu where I can see an overview of my business. It shows me my profits, my inventory, my deliveries etc. Now, of course, I need to keep supplies up, so hey new idea for truckers, deliver supplies to businesses or even private trucking companies? Also, as a job seeker, you can now get your delivery scooter and deliver random pizza's around the businesses neighborhood. But as you deliver more and more pizza's your pay-rate will go up, but also you can unlock new delivery vehicles making you do your job even faster. But as a business owner, you can also see what other likeminded businesses owners are giving their employee's. So with that businesses now have to compete in pay-rate to make sure people work for them instead of the competition. This can of course also be implemented into many more businesses and even a Stock market can be added to this. Where investors are able to invest into a company hoping it'll go up and selling their stocks to other players. What do you guys think of this? And do you have any other cases where this would work!?
  7. @Mega9 is it programmatically very difficult to add extra weight to your truck? Since it doesn't feel like your truck becomes slower now. Nevertheless, if it were properly integrated, the unbalance of long-distance hauls would still remain.
  8. @Sam_ I just think it would be way more balanced this way and more rewarding/fun. Doing the same short run over and over is super boring. Doing a long run, is more fun plus things happen on the way there.
  9. @JoGe Of course they should. But what I'm trying to say is that it just doesn't make sense to do long trucking hauls now.
  10. Goodmorning to you all! So I recently read the topic where someone wanted to bring the old trucking system back. I wouldn't suggest that, as the current system has a way better grinding mechanism, though I think there are certainly some improvements to be made. First of all, let's discuss the flaws within the current trucking system. As of right now, you can unlock different loads, by doing as many trucking runs as possible. Once you unlock different loads you get better weight bonuses, making the main goal right now to get the highest weight bonus asap. Which is a good mechanic!!! But the way it's implemented is wrong in my opinion, previously it was most rewarding to drive long distances as they would deliver you more cash... Logical, more km's/effort made equals more cash. But that's not the case with the current system, anyone who favors long-distance trucking like me is now simply doomed... So what is this claim based on, well let's dig a little deeper into maximizing our profits. So, of course, everyone who's here to make money tries to maximize their available free-time to maximize their profits. Let's say in this case I'm a trucker spawned at LV trucking side, I spawn in my road train and drive into the marker. I now get a multitude of choices, including long and short distance loads... Long distance loads will give me a 4-5k delivery reward + the weight bonus which is 11k!!! highly outweighing the delivery reward. Let's say I drive from LV to LS, which will take me approx 5-6 minutes. I would've now made 16k by doing this. Instead, I could've also driven from LV trucking depot to creek warehousing which takes approx 1 minute where I'll make 12.5k... Meaning I could make around 30-40k extra including stops more by doing short trips... THIS MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE! My suggestion: Change the system where you get new loads based on the amount of KM you've driven. Go to a system where a new load just changes the reward given per driven KM and get rid of the weight bonuses. This way people are rewarded by driving longer distances, nice RP element. Plus it motivates people to drive long distances! And last but certainly not least, BRING BACK ILLEGAL LOADS! the system above would also complement this, since if people would drive from LV trucking -> creek warehousing. The chance is very low that they'll get caught by cops. But if they would've had to drive from LV to SF the chance is way higher that they'll meet a cop :) Let me know what you think about this implementation and if you've anything to add! Hoping to see some changes made to the current system, if you need any more help thinking this through please shoot me a message! Best, Rick
