The members of this service consist of Special Agents (federal detectives) and uniformed service. The U.S. Secret Service is responsible for two specific functions: Defense of the nation from large scale threats such as terrorism, counterfeiting and as such mainly prioritizing on Prevention as main way of execution based on Intel collection. The Secret Service also provides security for The President, the Vice Presidents, government officials, visiting heads of states and representatives of the United States and helps out the SAPD by providing escorts to money transporters.
