Hello, SAES community.

Jokerulty brought us here. We'd like to see the minimum cop requirement brought down to zero for the time being so criminals are able to still fulfill their needs without the presence of cops. At least until the activity rises again and balance is back in play.

This is both for bank and casino robberies.

I don't think this is the right solution for activities, especially for BRs. Dropping the minimum cop requirement to 0 won't make BRs more enjoyable. Bringing a BR with 0 cops online at 4 AM still won't make much of a difference, because even if there are no cops at first, they can simply log in. By the time the BR reaches the first or second door, three cops can easily be online, and with 8–10 defenders under the current door timings, there is almost no chance for the BR to succeed.

I think it should stay at a minimum of 5 active cops, but with a few adjustments to the door system. Make the doors open faster when there are only 5 cops online, while keeping the current scaling where the more cops there are, the faster the doors open. Right now, when there are only 5 cops, the doors are just way too slow.

To make BRs actually more enjoyable and fun, removing the minimum cop count requirement is not the way
Maybe drop the required amount from 5 to 3
Some changes can also be made to bank door system like doors always opening at one fixed pace, so slow/fast doors are not a matter of concern anymore

The problem isn't the number of police officers you'll start with in a BR, but rather the number available after the first door opens, as if every BR you perform is just a fluke. Therefore, I believe the ideal solution is to place each officer in solitary confinement for 180 seconds upon entry.
