It's my first day being a mechanic wannabe for Cuban Cars, me and my partner Hetler were taking care of the garage for today. It was going okay we were just chilling until a phone from a custumer kicked in, his name was Youssef. He told me that his car was heavily damaged due to an accident where his car was crashed by a fallen tree when he was in the forest trying to chop down some trees. Gladly no one was harmed and the tree wasn't very old nor a giant one. So, I told him to come pay us a visit in the garage.

alt text
alt text

After 10 mins, Youssef arrived at the spot and the car is really damaged, smashed windows and broken doors. I guided him to where he should park his car and he did. When Youssef stepped out of the car I asked how did that happen exactly to provide us with some informations which can come in handy while fixing the car. He told us the full story and it was challenging in order to serve in this specific case where the car is nearly destroyed but we had to do what we must do and started working.

alt text
alt text
alt text

First, I tried to take a look at the car's hood and see if these parts are okay. Surprisingly not, the engine was really damaged that we were even surprised the car was able to move or even work so we had to take care of that part by replacing the engine with a new one that fits the spot and the car specifically. My partner Hetler in the other hand was trying to remove all the smashed windows and bring new one so we can replace also that part which eventually was successful gladly. apart from that there were some pieces which was smashed completly so we had to fix these parts and replace them. After few hours of working, we were able to fully fix the car and bring it back to how it used to be and even more better.

Finally, our work payed off and the car was in a good shape. Youssef payed us and we told him about some few things that he must be careful about and he was good to go!

I wasn't able to stay in Cuban Cars's garage today so I went to my garage and tried to arrange my tools and clean them. While I'm doing that, I recieved a call from a costumer who told me that his car is not working for some reasons. By asking him what possibly can be the issue, I knew that it can only be the battery because he told me that he left the keys inserted in the car and he forgot them there which causes the vehicle to keep working (without engine running) all night long. So, I asked him if he can push the car outside and tell me his adress. Then I hopped in my tow-truck and drove to his place.

alt text
alt text
alt text

I arrived at the spot gladly he wasn't far from my garage and I found him there standing waiting for me. I parked my car behind his and spoke to him about the issue exactly. And it was what I thought about, the car was on without activating the engine because he forgot to take the keys before leaving it which caused the battery to malfunction due to it working for a long period of time.

alt text
alt text
alt text

In this specific case there are some simple solutions rather than completly replacing the battey with a new one, we can't charge it either because the battery is not dead it just can't start properly. I tried the simple trick which works a lot, I asked Yassinos to push the car really good while I try to start the engine at the same time while having some speed that boosts the car and make it work. We tried that trick and it actually worked ! the engine was running but wasn't quite smooth at the beginning because the car must be left working for a minimum of 30 mins so it get used to how everything should be working as it was before.

alt text
alt text
alt text

I spoke with Yassinos and told him that he is able to drive with it and do whatever he wants but try to not stop the engine for a while. He agreed and I didn't ask him for money it was a simple trick but you need few men to help you push the car. Then, he hopped in his car and left the area and I got back to my garage.

It was a good day in my garage just chilling waiting for costumers to arrive. While I was having my coffee, I recevied a call from a woman who asked me to arrive at her spot because her vehicle's brakes stopped working and gladly she wasn't driving too fast so she managed to pull over and stop the car in a safe area. So, I drove my tow-truck to her location in 10 mins.
alt text
alt text

When I first arrived I saw her in a small parking lot inside her car waiting for me. I parked my car and spoke to her asking for some informations of what she was doing and how that happened. She told me that she was driving normally and somehow when she needed to slow down to make a right turn she wasn't able to use the brakes so she had to keep moving and try to park the car by slowly engaging the emergency brake and that's what happened.

alt text
alt text

First thing I did, I tried to drive the car a bit and see if the brakes are really not working or just a malfunctioning just happened to her in that siutation. turned out that there's actually something wrong with the brakes. There are some few reasons in order brakes to stop working which are mainly a leak in a brake line, a loss of pressure within the master cylinder itself due to a failed seal, or air being introduced into the braking system, or just simply the hydraulic fluid which is responsible for moving the various components of the vehicle's braking system ran out. which turned out that's the case in this siutation when I check the car's hood. So, luckily in my tow-truck I had some brake fluid, I went inside the car and grabbed the bottle and came back to the lady's car.

alt text
alt text
alt text

I filled the tank with the brake fuil hoping that will do the trick. I started the vehicle and tried to move forward a little and try using the brakes. And it worked ! the brake pedal was working and I was able to stop the car. The lady thanked me for helping her and I gave her few tips in order to take care more of her car and see everything possible every now and then. She gave me few cash and she drove away with her car.

As usual, in my garage sitting there. I recieved a call from a costomer who told me that he is not able to move his car at all because for some reasons his handbrake stopped working. I asked him to give me the adress and I drove to his spot.

alt text
alt text

The issue of having the handbrake is not really a common thing that I've dealt with many times but it happens for specific reasons which are mainly cold weather, low temperatures can cause handbrake mechanisms to freeze in place. Old cars In time, rust or corrosion can interfere with the handbrake, long periods without use and brute force which means being too forceful in engaging the handbrake which might accidentally jam it. I arrived at the spot and found the guy waiting, his car was parked infront of his house. I parked my car and spoke to him about the issue if he have any information that can help me. But as soon I as hopped in the car to try the handbrake myself it was completely stuck no matter how force you just give it won't work. I asked him if he has been using the handbrake aggressively and the answer was yes but he didn't know that it can be an issue. So, I had no other choice but to use my tow-truck and latch onto the car and head to my garage.

alt text
alt text
alt text
alt text
alt text

When we arrived it was already late and I had to close the garage. So, I asked the man to come and check up on the car tomorrow while I take care of it. I had to follow the cable to the brake mechanism and then detaching it in order to replace it with a new cable. And everything was good ! The next day, the man came to my garage and I gave him car. He payed me and he was good to go.

While I was heading to my garage driving around LS, I received a call from my neighbour in Grove Street. He is member within the family and he told me that his car is not working even though he tried to refill the fuel and it didn't work either. So, I had to go there and see what's up.

alt text

When I arrived at the spot, I saw someone else with my neighbour their names were Youssef and Swinlder. I parked my car behind his and headed towards them. I asked them about the issue exactly, they didn't know how this is happening but apparently the car is not able to start even when the fuel is filled. I had to see the car's hood and checked really good and it was what I thought. The fuel pump was in a really bad shape and the car struggles to start and run because the pump cannot push enough gas through. I had nothing to work with at that place so, I used my truck in order to take the car to my garage and work there.

alt text
alt text
alt text
alt text

It took us a while to get there but I eventually made it. I parked the car very well inside the garage and started working. The first thing I tired is to insert a product called "Started fluid" and sprayed some of it inside the car's intake. with this we can reveal if it's actually the problem from the car's fuel pump or not. I tried to start the car but it didn't work either so that means the fuel pump is actually the problem and I had to replace it with a new one. After some hours of working, I asked Youssef to grab me some fuel because I had to remove all the fuel that was there since it got dirty due to the cycle being ruined and all dusty. After few minutes, we did refuel the car and it was good to go.

alt text
alt text
alt text
alt text
alt text
alt text

After that, Swindler drove the car out of the garage and I spoke with Youssef to take care more of the car and always check up on it every 5 or 6 months. He gave me money and thanked me for my work. Then, he hopped in the car with his friend and went on their own.

~[Any Information that can be provided:]~(#8b4513) After patrolling with CC members we heared that the Manager has opened the garage for everyone in LVX. So, we had to go there and start our shift. We were able to recieve many customers. In the other hand, my partner Youssef decided to bring his own vehicle as he wants perform a check-up for it and I was ready to help.

alt text

We started by opening the truck and searching for important items that we need to change or clean. I told Youssef to check something else while I was working on changing the filters of the vehicle such as oil, fuel, air filters. I removed the old ones as they were really dusty and rusty. I tried to find some new filters in the back storage but wasn't able to. So, I drove my tow-truck to buy new ones.

alt text

After almost 15mins, I came back with the tool I want and new items. I parked my car inside and collected the filters, I saw my partner Youssef with Senpai who helped him fix and install things to the car, he asked me if I was able to find the new filters which I replied affirmatively. Then, I being installing the new filters and changing everything dusty I can possibly see.

alt text

After a while the car was ready to go, Youssef thanked me for the hard work and I was happy that we did it together. after that we noticed that my partner JP was fixing trying to fix a DFT, I helped him with the tools he needed as it wasn't a big deal. And after some hours we were done !

~[Any Information that can be provided:]~(#8b4513) Just a usual day in San Fierro garage, me and my partners along with CC members were working on damaged cars, we had two vehicles to repairs. So, we divided ourselves into 2 groups in order to take care of both vehicles together to gain time and efforts. For myself and my group I was working with Youssef and Senpai. Mr. Leonard was the one responsible for taking care of us and help us if needed. We had the vehicle (type Huntley) parked on the right spot and I started investigating, asking about the issue and looking at every part possible so I can know where should I begin the work and how.

alt text

Leonard told me that this car was used for an off-road race which caused to crash eventually and the driver somehow made it alive. The vehicle was actually so damaged that the only explanation that it was a crash. The windows were smashed, other parts were damaged, the engine & battery are dead. So, we had to also divde ourselves so each one of us will work on something, I asked them to take care of the hood and it's items, Youssef to take care of the windows / doors and Senpai to take care of the wheels and the rest. And by agreeing to this, we began to work ! Youssef helped lift the hood up and I started checking every item I can see especially the engine and battery.

alt text

I took out the engine first as I thought it was the main reason for everything basically and asked Mr. Niklaus if we have a new one, we left the garage heading to his tow-truck and he had a brand new one on the back. As we were heading there we heared a small explosion in the garage, we rushed to see the issue and we saw that the vehicle I was working on the battery exploded due to overheating. Gladly, no one was hurt but I took the blame for not taking out the battery as a first thing to do before anything. And one of my partners tried to turn on the engine and that's what happened. We couldn't do anything but to send the vehicle somewhere better than our current garage.

alt text

We quickly cleaned up the mess and Mr. Leonard brought us a heavily damaged DFT. He told us that the owner if this vehicle has passed away while working but accidents happen sadly, that's why he wants us to do an incredible job in order to fix the car and bring it to his family as a small condolence. Mr. Leonard told me to take care of the hood again wishing that I've learned the lesson to not make the same mistake again, then I began working with the rest of my partners.

alt text

As I was searching through the hood, I found three unique problems, it was the engine, battery and the transmissions. I started with taking out the battery first as I shouldn't make the same mistake again. Then, I asked Mr. Leonard to find me a new battery the same type as this one so I can replace it later, he agreed and then I removed the engine using my gloves as it was smoking hot. I asked Mr. Leonard if I can find any new engine around the place and he pointed at some boxs that were high up. he told me to use the ladder to get there which I did use.

alt text

As I was climbing, the ladder was a bit shaking. So, I asked my partner Youssef to come and hold it for me so I can climb properly and try to search for the engine among the boxs. He did what I asked and I was able to reach the boxs, I opened the middle one as Mr. Leonard told me and I gladly found it. Then, Youssef and I slowly tried to pull it down slowly since it's kinda heavy and we don't want to break it. We successfully managed to put it on the ground safely.

alt text

After that, Youssef helped me fix the engine on the right area and it was good to go. Mr. Leonard already left the new battery near the truck so Youssef grabbed it for me and we replaced it on the right spot and like that the battery and engine were set and ready to pump !

alt text

After checking up on the others and the progress with their work, I was ready to complete my last task by changing the vehicle's transmissions. I had to go search in the storage room if I can find a new one that can replace the old one and maybe a better one that can connects with the engine to provide more power and performe better. And luckily, I was able to find one and immediately rushed to place it on the right area after removing the old one. Then, I cleaned all the parts that are working and changed the oil of the car and used our special liquiad Coolant in order to refill the water pump.

alt text

After hours of hard working with the rest of my partners and Mr. Leonard checking up on us making sure we're doing just fine, we managed to make an incredible job on fixing the DFT and it was working super well. After that we were happy about the results and ready to give the vehicle back to it's family. GG

~[Any Information that can be provided:]~(#824135) After taking our lunch break, we had to go back to SF garage and start working. We were a lot of people so we had to divide ourselves again into 2 groups. Me, Youssef and Alperens were responsible of an orange Alpha with Mr. Beckham taking care of us, while the others went to deal with another car.

alt text

We took a closer look at the car, I asked Beckham about what happened to this vehicle, the owner says that he couldn't turn on the engine and he couldn't figure out the problem. So, the only thing I had to do is check the hood, my eyes went immediately at the battery. I took it out and as I thought, it was dead and needed to be charged again in order to work. On the other hand, my partners started working on differents parts as the owner wanted to make more adjustements to the car and make it better & faster.

alt text

I recharged the battery and went to place it again at the right spot, Alperens took care of the engine and changed to something faster and more stable, Youssef changed the wheels. And after many adjustements, we were finally done with our car, thanks to Mr. Beckham who kept watching us and also check the car to test it out. and it was finally ready to go !

~[Any Information that can be provided:]~(#824135) It was 8:00 AM since we opened at rTECH garage, me and Senpai were glad to have Cha helping us around as he is a former member of the group. We've been staying in the garage doing nothing for almost 2 hours until I recieved a call from a champion of monster derby truck who's willing to join a new tournament very soon and he bought a new monster that he'd like to see some changes within it. He asked me to change the color which he mentioned for me exactly and told me to look for new wheels that can fit perfectly with the car and more powerful ones. He also gave me the proper engine that he bought himself so we can just install it for him and that should be it. So, I drove the monster inside the garage and parked it there

alt text

I spoke with Senpai about the owner and his requests, the first thing we did after that is taking a good look at the monster, then we checked the current wheels and we started taking them out slowly,

alt text

as we were doing that I told Senpai about the new wheels and check if we even have new ones. We started looking around the garage trying to find the proper wheels but we couldn't find the exact type we're looking for. So, I asked Senpai to meet our friend "Kruger" in ALT base as he is working in their garage to see if he can find the wheels we're looking for. Senpai agreed and drove his tow-truck to ALT garage.

alt text

As Senpai told me about the story later, he went there and found Kruger at his garage in ALT base. Kruger wasn't on his shift as he heared somebody at the door, he grabbed his shovel and was ready to attack or defend himself. But when he opened the door it was Senpai, he welcomed him and they started talking.

alt text

Senpai told Kruger about the type of wheels we're looking for and gave him all the informations about it, Kruger showed him the wheels they have regarding the type we're requesting. Senpai check it out and chose the ones that looks fine and good, Kruger helped him carry it out to the tow-truck and they agreed about the payment. Later, Senpai drove back to the garage.

alt text

As Senpai was away, I was able to spray the vehicle with orange & black as the owner requested and as I was removing the old engine, Senpai already made it back to the garage, I helped him take out the wheels and replaced them near the truck. Senpai took care of replacing the wheels and I was installing the new engine. Cha helped us aswell carry out all these items and fix the new ones. After an hour we were all done at the monster truck was set and ready to go !

~[Any Information that can be provided:]~(#824135) It was night time and we were almost gonna close, we were working at TMH base as our friend "Jeff" who is a former member of TMH, was helping us to get things done and repair vehicles. Suddenly, Jeff recieved a call from someobdy as he told him that his vehicle is facing some misfires, a loss in power and acceleration, a decrease in fuel efficiency. So, Jeff bringed the vehicle to TMH garage, me and Youssef started checking it out to see what's the problem exactly.

alt text

We tried to check hood first and at the same time try to start the vehicle to see how it's performance. It took me few attempts in order for the engine to start so I knew the issue is the fuel pump but not sure what part exactly, I checked with Youssef the car's fuel tank and pump, it was all dirty and dusty. Also, as Youssef checked the hood for the Nozzle rail and found that fuel nozzles are really bad and old.

alt text

I spoke with Youssef about what I found and told him to ask Jeff if he can find us new fuel nozzles, new fuel filter and new electrical pump. He did what I said and then Jeff came to see the issue and know the type of parts that we need. Later on, we took all the old parts and Jeff took them with him to ALT garage to meet our friend Kruger.

alt text

After 15 mins, Jeff made it to ALT base as he found Kruger there waiting for him since I spoke with him in the phone to make sure he knows that Jeff is coming. He welcomed him inside and Jeff told Kruger about the pieces that we need and showed him to old ones. He asked for new ones as the old ones can't be cleaned nor modified. Kruger went with him inside and started collecting the required items.

alt text

After few mins, Jeff and Kruger were able to collect the exact required parts that we need and drove back together to the garage. When they reached TMH base, they didn't find me nor Youssef as we went to get some fresh oil and cleaning tools so we can repair the fuel pipeline and clean the hole circuit. Meanwhile, Jeff and Kruger grabbed the new parts and immediately installed them in the car, now the changes made to the car were new electrical fuel pump, new fuel nozzles and a new fuel filter. After that, Jeff thanked Kruger for his time and for giving us the new items and then drove back together to ALT base.

As they left, Youssef and I were done collecting the things we needed and made it back to the garage, we found the vehicle with the new parts added by Kurger and Jeff. So, we immediately grabbed our tools and started cleaning the rest of the fuel circuit, we cleaned the fuel tank, the nozzle rail and fuel pipeline. Then, we added new fuel to the car and it was ready to be tested. Youssef hopped in and turned on the engine and it immediately worked. We drove the vehicle outside and tried it even more, it was working properly ! We were happy about the results and parked it so the owner can come tomorrow and have it back nice and clean.

After a while of chatting and listening to Croatian radio and Riley speaking Tunisian language with me, Youssef joined us aswell with Anas and Blue who decided to make an event on our DFT (Land on DFT). Eventually after many attempts, someone was able to win. Then, I hanged a bit with Blue and it was fun !

~[Any Information that can be provided:]~(#824135) I was by myself in LS repair shop waiting to start my shift, I recieved a call from my friend Kruger who wanted me to come repair a vehicle that an owner requested in ALT garage. He asked me to do it since he is busy with something else and he have to leave the garage, I told him to leave the vehicle and go but he couldn't since it's not the first time he kept the owner waiting for so long. So, he have to start working now before things get messed up between him and the customer. I didn't hesitate to answer his request as Kruger helped me so many times. I agreed and then drove my towtruck to his garage.

alt text

When I arrived there, Kruger already left the place, I found the gate open so I entered and parked my truck. I found the car that Kruger told me about, a black Admiral that had it's doors damaged. The owner claims as Kruger told me that the vehicle got stuck between two walls in a small road down town. They barely were able to get it out and the doors were broken along with smashed windows. I checked the vehicle myself and started testing out the doors. The right front door can't close properly nor open it. The left front door was a bit damaged but gladly there was no problem with it's function of opening and closing. The left back door was had it's lock actuator and it's latch destroyed so the door was not able to close at all. The common thing about these 3 doors is they have smashed windows, the right back door was fine thankfully. Also there were some scratches on the sides.

After I noted every issue I saw, I searched the place to grab the tools I needed to start working, mainly it was a wrench, some screwdrivers, pliers and a hammer. Then, I started working on the right front door, the door after trying some attempts to close it, was malfunctioning indeed, I saw that the door checker was also damaged so while closing and opening the door there was some weird noises. I grabbed my wrench and tighten the door checker and the hingers so the noises will disappear and the door's movement will be smooth. For the left front door, I used my hammer to fix the damaged area of the door to turn back to it's place with some other tools as it's just a small thing. Last but not least, for the left back door I had to use my screwdriver to remove lock actutaor and the latch and replace them with new ones gladly I found in the garage. After an hour, I was done fixing the inside of the doors, I kept closing and opening them to see if the issues are fixed and it was fine.

alt text
alt text

After that, I was ready to change the windows, I searched the garage to find some new glass and gladly I found some with the right shape of the car. I grabbed them and went to remove the old broken glass and change them with the new ones. After a while, I was done with repairing the glass.

alt text

For the last part, I grabbed some black spraying cans and moved the car to a propper place so I can start spraying the scratches. It was not too much also wasn't deep so just spraying will do the trick.

alt text

After a while, I was finally done with the car. I parked it in another place so Kruger can see it when he comes. I kept trying to open the doors and close them as a final test and things were good. Aslo I checked the windows tried to roll them up and down, everything was working properly. I phoned Kruger telling him about what I've done, he thanked me for that and I left the car.

~[Any Information that can be provided:]~(#824135) I was away working on another garage helping others as I heared Mr. Marksman has opened his garage. I tried to finish the car I was working on really fast so I can catch up with the others. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get there at the exact time but finally made it there. When I first arrived I saw many things and the garage was really loaded with people. I greeted everyone there and spoke with Mr. Marksman to start my shift, I saw him busy with an Admiral that was fixed and ready to pump by Youssef and Pain. I saw the others taking care of other cars. I waited for them to finish as I saw their progress with the car and they actually did a pretty good job. After few mins, Mr. Marksman asked me to change the wheels for the car as it's the final thing for it to be done. I took a closer look at the current wheels and asked him if there are specific types of wheels I should use or I can use whatever I can. Mr. Marksman told me about the specific type which are 225/40r18 tires, a really good choice I'd say. Then, I told my partner Youssef to park the vehicle in a specific area so we can start working. Eventually, we were done with our work. Mr. Marksman thanked us for our efforts and we had a small conversation, it was pretty nice. Also we hung around for a few mins and that was it.

~[Any Information that can be provided:]~(#824135) While I was on LV garage with my partner Youssef, I recieved a text from Mr. Marksman who told me that he is going to open the garage near BC. So, we immediately answered the call and drove my tow-truck to the location. When I first arrived I saw my partners Youssef and Swindler there, I greeted them and we spoke a little bit until Mr. Marksman came with a car. He drove the car inside and parked it where we should start our work, then he told us that we can start working on that car.

alt text

The issue was the bumper of the car was a bit broken. So, Mr. Marksman asked us to change it to something new and that was our first task. As we were going to start some other partners joined in and luckily a custumer came by so they we had to devide ourselves and start working on both vehicles. Me and partner Youssef kept working on the same vehicle that Mr. Marksman gave to us. First thing we did is we grabbed our tools that are mainly screwdrivers and wrenchs. Then we started removing the old bumper, partner Youssef helped me to detach the piece as it's a bit heavy then we took it to the back then, I asked Mr. Marksman if there's another bumper that suits the car we can use, he guided me to the warehouse and I begin searching. Eventually, I was able to find the right bumper and slowly grabbed it back to the car. My partner Youssef helped me fix it, he holds it and I use the screwdriver. After few minutes, we were done with the vehicle and it was ready to go !

After a while, Mr. Marksman wanted to take things futher up. So, he drove 3 different cars with different issues. We divided ourselves again into 3 groups, I was with my partner Youssef again, Mr. Marksman gave us an old truck but judging by how fast he parked it, it's not really how it sounds like. He told us to change the hydraulics, doing so require taking out the wheels. So, I asked Mr. Marksman if we can change the wheels too to something even better and he agreed, I suggest off road tires as the vehicle is used by farmers and get into mountains. He agreed and thought it's a good suggestion. After that, Youssef and I started working, I asked my partner to grab us the tools we need in order to take out the wheels. He grabbed what it takes and gave me so I can start working aswell to finish faster. I used some bricks that I found near by to hold the vehicle while taking out the wheels. After that, I tried to search for new wheels and Youssef went to grab new hydraulics. It took me a lot of minutes to find the proper wheels. Eventually, me and Youssef met at the same time as he grabbed the new items. We installed them immediately and the wheels were done. After that, Mr. Marksman asked us to change the trunk but we couldn't do much just some cleaning and adjusting it a little bit. Then, we were done with our vehicle and parked it outside so Mr. Marksman can take a look at it.

After a while, Mr. Marksman came to check on us and ask few questions about our work. We had really nice experience and lovely one with him as he made sure we understand everything we're doing, we also got to know that our vehicle had V8 engine and the inside was pretty clean so you really shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. Finally, he thanked us for our work and we had a good time and that was it for today.
