According to the website description of the town, it states that:


"A quaint desert town steeped in local history, home to preserved Hopi ruins and the terrible setting of the Barrancas Mass Grave. In 1842, the 66th Cavalry, under the command of Colonel Henry Bolt, was stationed in nearby Fort Carson when they answered a call for help from homesteaders under attack from bandits. Riding to the rescue, the whole force fell down a hole. It is said that the sound of a hundred horses can be heard riding through the town at midnight..."


The town defination:


Las Barrancas means 'The Cliff' in Spanish. The town is located at the southeastern side of Tierra Robada, south of Sherman Dam, west to The Big Ear and northwest of Fort Carson.


Population:


According to the recent census, it states there have been about 68 people living in this town.


Ruined area:


There are ruined building sites at the most east end of the town, the remains consist of an Native American pueblo.
The people said there have been rumors and some peoples also assured, they usually hear voices near this area and at the end of each weekend, a member of the town dies sudden of all which gives a clue that there is some sort of paranormal activity around this area.

Cemetery:


A ruined and demolished cemetery is also located in the heart of the town with an amount of several destroyed graves around it. The people consider this cemetery as cursed because of the reason that it took lives of about 6 tourists when they came to have a look inside the cemetery. The cemetery is also named as 'The Graveless Cemetery' since all the graves around it get destroyed eventually.

  • Dam Camper RV Park:
    The 'dam' in its name is a reference to the Sherman Dam that is situated nearby. It contains a group of aligned flat houses and a parking lot with Tepees. This place also features a statue of a large hen.

  • Tee Pee Motel:
    The motel is located near the foreground near the Dam Camper RV park, it consists of Tee Pee's as motel rooms. It is popular for the Tee Pee shaped rooms.

    According to the GTA San Andreas website, it is said that:
    "The beef tastes so good because the hormones are very tender. The cows love to be injected with steroids, and it makes the meat juicy."
    It is a restaurant located at the west side of the town, the hotel is popular because of the cows served in the restaurant are injected with steroids which makes the meat juicy and loved by everyone.

    It is Tee Pee shaped post office where gifts are sent to packed and then conveyed to the needed location.
