This is a detailed tutorial on how to format text and elements to your liking in the forums



Text formatting Bold, Italics ,strikethrough.

  • For Bold click the B button on top your writing sheet or add 2 asterisks " ** " at the beginning and at end of a word or line.
    Example:
    Format

  • For Italics press the I button on top of your writting sheet or add 1 asterisk " * " at the beginning and at the end of a word or line.
    Example:

  • For Strikethrough press the S button on top of your writing sheet or put 2 tildes " ~~ " at the beginning and end of a line or word.
    Example:

For making Lists.

click the alt text button or put a single asterisk " * " at the beginning of the word or line leaving a single space..
Example:

For using headers

Add 1-6 hash characters at the start of the line, corresponding to header levels 1-6. Note - leave a space between the group of hashes and the text example: ( # text)

For using Blockquates

Add a " > " before the line you want to Blockquote. Blockquote also allows you to be lazy and put a single " > " before the first line of a hand warped paragraph.

Blockquotes can be nested (i.e. a blockquote-in-a-blockquote) by adding additional levels of " > "

To produce horizontal rules.

Place 3 or more asterisks " * " or underscores on a line by themselves. You can also put places between them.

To use Code Blocks

Simply indent every line of the block by at least 4 spaces or 4 backticks on top and below text.

To use code block always put the text in a new line and not a continuation of text.
Multiple lines can be also put in a Code block but the first line of it has to start in a new line

To make markdown treat indicators of emphasis as literal.

To make markdown treats certain characters like asterisk ( * ) and underscores ( _ ) as indicators of emphasis as literal all you have to do is backslash ( \ ) escape it.
Example:


\*\*Bold**

**Bold**
If you dont use backslash and just use 2 asterisks ( ** ) at the beginning or end of a word or sentence then it will be shown as Bold.

To use spoilers

Select the text or element you want to put in a spoiler and click the alt textbutton.

To make click able text to opens a link

Move the cursor to a place where u want you click able text then tap the alt text button.

You get [link text](link url) in the "link text" field type the text u want to be clickable and in the "link url" field paste the link you want it to open.

To Allign text and image to centre

To allign text or image to centre use the following syntax : ^[Text ] and ^[![alt text](image url)]

Making copy-able Application forms.(For Groups/Sqauds/Company)


I see many groups in forums who have application forms which are formatted but the format is not copy-able.
to make copy-able formats follow this tutorial


Test Application form
Name: <answer>
Age: <answer>
Country: <answer>
Gender: <answer>


Now to make the above application format copy-able, I will simply use backslash escape. To use it just add a backslash ( \ ) behind every first group of emphasis indicators (here asterisks ( ** ) for emphasis of Bold).


Format:
\*\*Name:** <answer>
\*\*Age:** <answer>
\*\*Country:** <answer>
\*\*Gender:** <answer>

**Name:** <answer>

**Country:** <answer>

Miscellaneous


Getting annoyed from how images only load when u scroll too them? Use this.

go to Profile>Settings>Browsing settings> and untick "Delay Image Loading"

Go to Profile>Settings and scroll down to "Notification and Sounds"
