The farmer there, new to the land, ordered a set of tractors and combines. Called me up, said he needed them pronto.At the dealership, these big machines waited, gleaming in brown and gray. Strapped them down tight on the trailer, each chain a promise that they'd reach the farm in one piece. On the road, the weight of these giants hums through the rig. I pull into the farm, and the farmer's eyes light up. I unload the tractors and combines, Handshakes and thanks, then I'm back on the road, leaving behind a farm primed for a golden harvest.
