  1. Your ingame username: captaindmer
    Your ingame alias: [AA]Exile|IZC
    Your year of birth: 2002
    Your gender: Male

    Nationality: African-American
Country of residence: United States of America

How long you have been playing SAES: I started off playing SAES when I was about 10, i'm turning 18 in a few weeks. So i'd say i've been playing SAES for roughly around 8 years.
Qualities you can offer: I can offer my activity, time, patience, and communication skills into the SAHA department. My native language is English, but I also speak a bit of Spanish as I took it for 4 years, so I can clearly communicate to people and convey my messages with little-to-no misunderstandings. I'd also say i'm obedient and a good multi-tasker, i'm able to deal with multiple situations at once without getting too overwhelmed. I'm good at GFX and video editing, and i'm also a very flexible person.
Your weaknesses: I'd say my biggest weakness is my stubbornness, in certain situations it's very hard to change my mind/feelings about a particular thing, and in the past it has effected my judgement. I'm not as stubborn as I used to be anymore, but I still usually stand my ground when it comes to specific things.
    Preferred Position (CS/SAHA): SAHA

Do you have Discord Installed: Yeah, I have discord installed and I actually use it pretty frequently.

Reason for application: Originally, when I first learned that SAHA recruitment was open, I was happy! It seemed like a nice civilian way to earn money, unfortunately the rules have changed a bit, and the work you do isn't provided with a payment anymore. This turned me off a bit, but after re-evaluating the group and my own purpose in the server, I discovered a lot of other reasons for joining. Most of the members of the San Andreas Housing Agency are admins, they have to deal with reports and helping players, and on-top of that deal with housing in the server. It's voluntary work, but it may be a bit overwhelming at times, i'd also like to diversify the group a bit, there doesn't seem to be too many unique figures in the group. I'd like to spend my free-time on the server helping new player understand exactly what SAHA is, and how housing works. Since the first thing the majority of new players want on the game is a house, but almost all are taken or overpriced, I'd teach them a few tips/trips how to get a house without spending much money, and how to flip their own houses for possibly even more profit. I've reached a point in the server where the only things that keep can keep me occupied are helping other people or trying something new for a change, and I believe being an SAHA agent will definitely keep me occupied.

    Server Memberships:

    • Arms Assassins

    • Izanagi Clan - Founder

    • Outbreak Organization - Soldier

    • Lightning World Sports - Trusted Staff Member

    • Taxi El Centrino

    • ZIP - Worker

    • Cuban Cars - Impounder

Additional information: Back in the day I had some inactivity periods because I would always pretty much find myself bored out my mind on the server, I needed something to do, or something to work for to keep me occupied, I can never just sit on the server doing nothing because it's a waste of time. I feel like if I was SAHA, it would keep me occupied, and I would not only add some diversity to the team, but also be inspire others to have same work ethic as I do. I am also able to hop online during the American timezone, when many people aren't online to handle housing requests.

Previous (legitimate) punishments on the server: None, except maybe a few admin-jails for throwing nades into store-robs when they hit 99% back in 2013.
Previous (legitimate) bans: In 2013, I was banned for multi-accounting, cleared it all up with Jasem and it was straightened out.

Do you eat pork: Yeah, I enjoy bacon everyday for breakfast :moistpepe:

  2. Hey, I recently came back from a seven year inactivity, and it really disappointed me that there were almost no BIG changes made to my favorite server since 2013.

I guess this is primarily because the scripters on SAES do not get paid for adding anything to the server, so they only add things when they are in the mood to,or when they have some freetime.

The SAES-Dev team has gotten alot smaller since the last time I played here, the SAES Dev team (2020) wise, isn't really looking forward to making new scripts on the server, they really are just here to fix anything core if it breaks. The community has no clue if there will be anything added or implemented in the future.

So I've thought of an idea that will benefit the SAES server, the SAES Development team , and the community

^[The ability to choose where your donation goes]
We should have the ability to select where our donation goes, because right now it only goes to keeping the server up. But i'm sure over the past 10 years the server has collected more than enough money to keep the server running.

We should have the ability to donate to our server owner.

And we should also have the ability to donate to our developer team.

    alt text
    Suggestion Bounty
When we select the option to donate to the developer team, it should give us an option on which ACCEPTED suggestion we'd like to pledge too,and our donation amount would go next to the suggestion with an X amount raised tag on it, this way the suggestions that raise the most money, will give the developer the most motivation to script it, so they could get the prize

This is a small idea I came up with over quarantine, I don't think it'll be implemented in SAES, but it was worth a try!

  3. @NanoBob said in [SUGGESTION] Name tags:

If you find any issues could you please describe exactly how to reproduce them, and what you would like the behaviour to be.

Here's a list of things I'll look into changing:

    • Seperate wanted level, give it a bit of a color

    • Make health bar visible when chat window is visible

    • Increase nametag range when aiming with a weapon

    • Look into issue with players in the back of airplanes

I don't know if this is really possible, but I really enjoyed the nametags from the 2013 era.

I took a look back on how it used to look and came up with my own concept of how I think the nametags should look.

    ^[alt text]

    • Nostalgic font used (Arial Hollow)

    • A clear distinction of the stars using the golden color code #F1C40F (similar to the wanted level you would get in GTA SA Singleplayer)

Also,Checking the scoreboard makes nametags go away until the scoreboard disappears.

  4. @Teller I was experiencing horrible lag with an RTX 2070 Super and an i7-8700k, it got so annoying I switched back to windows 7 (dual boot) and all my problems went away.

I now experience little to no lag or latency in SAES.

So when I went to play MTA i can boot up Windows 7, and for anything else I can switch back to Windows 10, just by restarting my computer. I believe it may be a mix of people's computer hardware/operating systems and server lag.

    Participants: @Exile @PerrooLocoo
    Story:
I drove PerroLoco to Mt.Chilliad, here we would begin the first phase of his recruitment, his challenge was to race me up Mount Chilliad! This was a test to see how much Stamina he had, and if he was in shape or not. If he wasn't able to get up the mountain as swiftly as I was, then he was weak. After all, how could he lose to a girl? The race was also timed, we had to race up the mountain in under 5 minutes or else the test would be futile!

After the first phase was finished, we moved on the to the interviewing phase, I asked him a few questions about himself, he seemed very nervous and shy! But I could understand why....guys are always nervous around me! I asked him his name, why he wanted to join our clan and what he could offer, and then we began to meditate. We meditated for a couple of minutes to clear our minds and to also give our bodies a bit of a stretch,it was still early in the morning so doing this quick exercise was vital! Then we moved on to the next phase of his test!

His final tests were to clear his mind, concentrate and attempt to jump off of Mount Chilliad in the car but take less than 15% damage to the vehicle, this takes amazing courage and skill to do so but he managed to pull it off. I then told him to drop me off at my brother's secret hideout,he's a lunatic that works with Outbreak,I wanted him to teach my brother how to break prisoners out of jail discreetly and effectively. Their first jailbreak was very smooth, there wasn't a cop in sight! Once my brother and Perro were done with the jailbreak, he was accepted into our family!
