The atmosphere was lively as we geared up to serve customers and train the newcomers on the art of being a mechanic. It wasn’t long before the first customer rolled in—a guy in a car complaining about strange noises and leaks from his exhaust. I greeted him, took a quick look under the hood, and checked the exhaust system. After a few minutes, I found the problem—it was just a loose exhaust pipe causing the noise and leak. Simple fix. I explained the issue to the customer and quoted him a price. He agreed, and I got to work. One of the CC wannabe mechanics, eager to learn, stepped in to assist me. I guided him through the process as we tightened the exhaust system back into place, eliminating the issue. While we were at it, we decided to do a fresh oil change for the customer. The wannabe mechanic handled it well, following my instructions carefully. You could see the excitement in his eyes—he was starting to enjoy the job, and I could tell he had potential. Once the work was done, I took the customer to the office to finalize the invoice. To my surprise, he left an extra tip as appreciation for the good service. A solid start to the day. But then, things took a turn. A biker stormed into the garage, clearly upset. His motorcycle was smoking badly, and he demanded a repair. At first, I was ready to help, but as I stepped closer, I noticed something alarming—there were bullet holes on the bike. That immediately raised a red flag. I stopped right there and told him, “Look, I can’t touch this. We’re gonna need a police clearance certificate before we can do any work on it.” The guy was furious. He tried to persuade me, getting closer and speaking in a hushed tone. Then he tried bribing me, slipping some cash toward me in the corner. I wasn’t having it. I firmly refused, keeping my stance clear—no paperwork, no service. The biker, now even angrier, grabbed his money and stormed out. But he wasn’t done yet. Minutes later, he came back, yelling and causing a scene in the garage. The CC members and I stood by, monitoring the situation, making sure it didn’t escalate. After a bit more shouting, he finally left, still fuming. After that strange encounter, we got back to work. The CC members and I kept an eye on how the mechanics were doing, making sure everything ran smoothly. The wannabes were learning, the garage was busy, and business continued as usual. At the end of the day, we reflected on what happened. It was another lesson—not every customer would be easy to deal with, and in this line of work, integrity mattered. No shortcuts, no shady deals, just honest work. And with that, we locked up the garage, ready for whatever came next.

Not long after, the CC wannabes rolled in, eager to get their hands dirty and learn the trade. Today was all about teamwork, efficiency, and making sure every customer left satisfied. The work started strong—one of the first customers was a pizza delivery biker whose brakes had completely given out. Without hesitation, we got to work, diagnosing the issue and quickly replacing the faulty parts. The wannabes watched closely, learning how to handle such an issue efficiently. The biker, relieved to have his brakes working again, paid up, gave us a thumbs-up, and sped off to continue his deliveries. Shortly after, another customer pulled up in a fuel-starved vehicle, desperate for a top-up. We wasted no time, refueling his ride and making sure he was good to go. These small but important tasks kept us busy, and the garage was running like a well-oiled machine—until something bigger rolled in. A SWAT member, driving an armored vehicle, pulled into the garage and requested a full inspection. It was a serious job, and we took it as such. The wannabes observed as I led the inspection—checking the tires, fluids, and engine, making sure everything was running smoothly. A few minor repairs were needed, and after working on the vehicle for some time, we got it back to peak performance. The total cost came out to $560, which the SWAT officer was about to pay. However, just as things were wrapping up, an unexpected incident occurred. One of our mechanics had been inappropriate toward the SWAT Lieutenant, and the officer, rightfully upset, called me over. He expressed his concern, explaining that if people like that continued working here, it could ruin the garage’s reputation. I immediately apologized, but he insisted that I had nothing to be sorry for—it was the mechanic’s fault, and he needed to be held accountable. Things escalated quickly. The SWAT officer didn’t let the situation slide—he called in backup, requesting another unit to handle the matter. Before we knew it, sirens blared in the distance, and the mechanic—realizing what was happening—tried to make a run for it. But there was no escape. The officers were quick, pinning him down and taking him into custody right outside the garage. It was a moment of chaos, but at the same time, a reminder that professionalism mattered in this business. With that incident behind us, we refocused on our work. The wannabes took it as a lesson—respect and professionalism go a long way, and actions have consequences. We continued serving customers for a while longer, making sure everyone was taken care of before finally closing up shop for the day. As I locked up the garage, I reflected on the day’s events. It had been a mix of hard work, good lessons, and unexpected drama, but in the end, we pushed through. The Cuban Cars garage on the LV-LS Highway remained strong, and tomorrow would be another day to build our reputation and keep the wheels turning.

It was an exciting and meaningful day as we opened the doors to welcome both customers and a group of CC Wannabes eager to learn the ropes of the mechanic trade. Our main goal for the day was to teach the Wannabes the fundamentals of the business—everything from diagnosing issues to repairing vehicles to offering exceptional customer service. With five seasoned Cuban Cars members and five talented mechanics working together, we had an incredible crew in place to provide top-notch service while also passing on our knowledge to the newcomers. As the day began, the garage was buzzing with energy. We had customers arriving one after the other, each needing different services—from oil changes to tire replacements, engine repairs, and full car tune-ups. As each vehicle pulled into the garage, our mechanics greeted them with professionalism and a sense of purpose. The Wannabes were closely shadowed by our experienced Cuban Cars members, receiving hands-on training in real-time, allowing them to quickly adapt to the fast-paced environment. The team worked in perfect harmony, with each mechanic taking ownership of their tasks while supporting one another. As customers entered the garage, they were immediately attended to by a mechanic who made sure they understood the process and answered any questions they had. From the moment the customer stepped through the gate to the moment they left, our mechanics were by their side, explaining what was being done to their vehicle, offering advice, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience. It was clear that every customer felt valued, and this level of service showed in their smiles and satisfaction when they left. Meanwhile, I took a moment to step back and observe the beautiful chaos unfolding around me. It was awe-inspiring to see everyone working together, so focused and dedicated to their craft. I decided to grab my camera and capture the energy of the day—shots of mechanics working under the hoods of cars, others interacting with customers, and the Wannabes eagerly learning from the best. It was one of those rare moments when you realize just how much you've grown as a team. The hustle, the determination, and the shared passion for what we do were all on display. In the midst of all the work, I was responsible for managing the garage's gates and operating the ramp bay, ensuring that vehicles were smoothly ushered in and out of the garage. As cars lined up, each customer was greeted warmly and told exactly what to expect from the service. I was proud to see how every mechanic was proactive, not just in completing their work, but in helping each other. The entire team was supportive and encouraging, making it easy for the Wannabes to ask questions and learn from the best. The day was full of moments that showcased the essence of what Cuban Cars is all about. We didn't just repair cars; we worked together as a family, sharing knowledge, skills, and experience. Every mechanic showed up with the same dedication and drive to ensure that customers left with their cars in perfect condition. And in the process, the Wannabes soaked up everything they could, quickly adapting to the high standards we uphold here at Cuban Cars. I couldn't help but feel immense pride as I looked around the garage. The teamwork, the camaraderie, and the sense of purpose that we shared made today one of the most fulfilling days I’ve had. As the customers rolled in and out, getting their cars fixed and leaving happy, the energy in the garage never wavered. The mechanics were in full gear, helping each customer with care, precision, and skill. I want to take a moment to thank every Cuban Cars member who showed up today. It was a true display of teamwork and expertise, and we wouldn’t have been able to pull it off without each of you. To the Wannabes—your enthusiasm and eagerness to learn made today a truly special experience. Together, we turned the garage into a place of knowledge, hard work, and good vibes. When the day came to an end, the garage was filled with the sound of satisfied customers, happy mechanics, and the echo of engines purring after repairs. We closed up shop with a sense of accomplishment, knowing that we had done more than just repair vehicles—we had built stronger connections, developed new skills, and ensured that Cuban Cars remains a name customers can trust. Thank you to everyone who was part of today’s success. It was a perfect day.
