I don't agree with this suggestion, because why make a health bar in the first place then? You will just reheal urself on the goddamn spot. Makes no sense and would be tromendous cancer. Just like there are stores for ammo, i'm sure we can find a character-style building(s) that can serve as a shop for "snacks" aka what the vending machine has to offer already, and more.
