With two fire trucks and a utility van, we were able to respond to the emergency quickly, under 2 minutes.Our crew, consisting of a Fire Lieutenant, two Firefighter Operators, and a Engineer quickly suited up in our protective gear and checked our equipment before engaging. Upon arriving on the scene, the Fire Lieutenant and one Firefighter Operator quickly examined the situation and prepared to extinguish the fire. The remaining Firefighter Operator and Driver inspected the area for potential risks, ensuring the safety of the crew and the civilians around. Fire Lieutenant, me, directed the crew to start extinguishing the fire. The Firefighter Operators quickly set up the fire hoses and worked together to bring the fire under control. The Driver operated the utility van, delivering equipment and providing support to the others. With the fire under control, the Fire Lieutenant contacted dispatch, requesting a clean-up team to clear the remainings. The crew continued to search the area for any remaining fires. Chief Rieeria and Phrost from SAFD rush over with their Fire Engine. They arrive and see the shop on fire. Chief Rieeria handles the hose, and Phrost helps by pointing where to spray the water. Wearing protective gear, they go inside, spray water, and put out the fire. They check for any problems and talk to the pizza shop owner. They advise being careful with the oven and fries machine to avoid more issues. After the fire is out, Chief Rieeria and Phrost talk with the owner to share advice for keeping the shop safe in the future.
