[DISCUSSION] Future of SAES:RPG

Hello everyone , i'm here to open discussion about future of SAES:RPG. What do we need to make our great community/server better and more activity . I know (and everyone else know) that the game is really old but maybe we can make something that make it different.


I saw recently people saying about reset economy so it make everyone from the 0 - start.


Also i heard that we need more new scripts to the server , so that will get more interest in gameplay.


Some saying "nerf crime side" some saying "nerf cop side". For now what i see that both crime & cop side are balanced not like old days. Cops can easily stop BR or JB if they use teamwork . Same goes for criminals . Correct me if im wrong.


About new scripts - I'm agree we need new scripts to get more interest in gameplay as i stated above, i know our community dont have many scripters... just few and some of them are inactive and no dont get me wrong , its not like "YOU SHOULD SCRIPT , SO DO IT" nah all of us have a real life first . So my idea is : Maybe we call somebody from outside , i mean a good scripter that make scripts and have free time to script , of course we will pay him together. @James bro im sure you will help us in donating ;)
Idk its just a suggestion.


I also want to hear you guys . Any ideas / suggestions or anything, that make our community more better and more activity. Let's do it together.

i was too lazy to make a topic, even to ask an admin if it's possible or no
i had this idea i hope u guys like it
since gangs could gang rob each other before, despite making this back again cause for sure it's fun.. why official squads even official groups(if they wants to join for sure) can't be robbed aswell ? it's like every squad has it's money, so like every gang they get a safe in their base which every player can reach it and be able to rob it(via cracking) and with the same rules as gr's. So it would be such another activity for gangs and also for official squads they defend it by killing or arresting since they are lacking activities.
ps: it's just a suggestion i dunno if saes dev may do it or no

@TripleX so squads get a vault in thier base, which can be robbed by other peeps. Since they are a squad, they cant do the same to other gangs as that would just be stupid. So the fact is, that they will only lose money after all. Guess thats a No, unless squads get something equal to earn money with on other peeps based ( maybe some sort of investigation of the area, no idea )

I actually feel like the server is actually doing pretty good currently, it even peaked like 160 yesterday and thats quite a lot at these times.


On Saturday the Official Squads also peaked at 40 members + HLS, Trainees etc. Personally I think the server is doing quite fine, we got organized bank robs, turfing, war with the law enforcement in jail and infront of it, store robberies etc


Government also seems promising with their last speech today from Zeking and Howlze, interducing also a fair life for the Cubans which was interesting

I don't know what has happened recently, but there has been a large spark in activity (most likely due to Christmas). Yesterday we had 210 players online while ZeKinG and I were hosting our presidential speech.


Alongside the above, we've also had 40+ official squads members online the past few days (at peak hours).


Server is doing really good right now; I do however agree, that there needs to be some changes for the future (I am one for an economic reset).

This doesn't make much sense. Where would the money they would be earning this way come from? Arresting criminals attempting to rob their vault will give them enough money.

Squads being able to rob gang safes is something that should be allowed from the moment gang robs system was introduced. It only makes sense that cops are able to seize all the money gangs earn trough illegal activity.


As far as whole server goes, it has decent number of active players, compared to last 2 years, maybe even longer. There are definitely things that should change around here, but I won't be the one to bring that up for now.

Gang robs has been an ongoing, frivilous discussion since its introduction.


When it was introduced, multiple gangs opted out.


To this day a large amount of gangs do not have a safe or keep money in their gang bank to avoid the issues of GR's.


GR's should either be forced on all gangs or removed entirely. It is completely broken in its current state and when the rare GR does happen, it just leads to incredible amounts of reporting, bitchiness and harassment.


I would veer strongly on the side of not introducing anything similar to this, when the original is in such a broken state.

Yes the server activity is good I dont say its bad, maybe it could be more better? More players more fun? More works for admins/staffs on reports xDdd :p jk


I honestly dont know about resetting economy, would it help or no , for me its ok if i lose all of my cash or props but how others peeps react on it.


About Gang Robs i also made a topic about it a year ago ( https://saesrpg.uk/topic/5648/discussion-gang-robs?page=1 ) i was about to bring it back but i remember how was it is, many fights, trash talks and fake reports. In same point it was really nice , we had amazing wars between gangs but now that wont work like old days.
If none of gangs uses then we can just remove it...


I also liked @Bartman s idea about VIP , it will get more fun and interest

I was also thinking about server events that server will automatically play it . Something like race flag . We also had the Red Flag back in 2014 less :D I think some of you remember, why it even get removed :/ .
Not only that kind of games another example: a server choose one target for example Bartman, its says Kill [AA]Bartman with dildo ( it can be any wep m4/ak-47/etc just what the system choosed )prize might be money or something else... . Event running for 10 mins or less and then restarting (after some time) and choose another target .


And more minigames , i think it will bring more fun :d


But all of this need to be scripted...

should do gr with safes located on "gang houses" like AA gang have warehouse, place there gangsafe = problem solved with spawnkill & shit, this was the reason no one wantred use it anymore. but anyways remooving it yet would be great. so stealing gangmoney would be finally easyer : D

While I appreciate the sentiment, I don't believe you realize what the actual costs are for hiring a developer.

I recently had this conversation with @Joshbond as well, where he estimated a developer would cost 60 an hour, which I do think is a good estimate. And making new gameplay features is gonna take a lot of time. Especially since they would have to be integrated into our current code base.


So you would be looking at many many hours, for 60 an hour.. Donations simply do not cover that much.

Now don't get me wrong, we appreciate all donations we get, but using them to pay developers just is not feasible.
