Spoiler One early autumn day, he received a call from a citizen by the name of Mrs Hargrove. He was informed about an automobile that had been left on the outskirts of a bare town for the past months and weeds had already invaded its tires. Spoiler Puzzled about this information, Jake grabbed a few tools and drove to assess the situation. It was an old, dusty sedan that had seen better days. The paintwork was dull, while the glass surfaces were filthy. But to Jake, this was not the end of the line. With just a bit of work, he could cash in on this rusting relic. Spoiler After securing the owner’s consent, Jake transported the car to his garage. Action was taken and work spread over the days as he scrubbed and fixed various parts along with tuning. He changed the battery, the spark plugs were washed, and he did a complete clean-up of the interior as well. With time, anyways, the car gradually changed from being rusty to sparkly clean once again. Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler After restoring the vehicle, Jake thought about putting a ‘for sale’ sign. Being recently refurbished and classic qualities, he placed it online for sale. Just in one week, the car was in demand and he was receiving a lot of phone calls. Spoiler A lady visited it on Saturday. she was charmed by its vintage design and wondered how it could still be in this good a shape. With a brief haggling, she settled on a price that was significantly above what Jake expected. Spoiler Once Jake gave the keys, he felt a great sense of accomplishment. He had not only restored an abandoned vehicle but also made some good money. She was in a panic and she said her car had broke down along side the road and she didn't know what to do. and she couldn't be late. I told her send me her location and I'll be over there in no time. So I grabbed my toll box, hopped in a tow truck and headed her way thinking this would me a easy fix. Once I got there I asked for her keys and ordered her a Taxi to get her on to work. She left and I popped open the hood in utter shock or what I was looking at. This car had been completely neglected and beat, no oil cap and hot dry oil was all over the engine, and no signs of an oil change in ages, no coolant, no fluid whatsoever. The car was literally burning up and I fear it would have caught a fire if it didn't stop when it did. There was no way I was fixing this on the road, thankfully she broke down by the clucking bell so I was able to get me a lil snack before I towed it back to base. https://imgur.com/a/x2jKeak Once I got back to base I gave the engine bay a good cleaning, refilled all the fluids and checked for leaks, The radiator and a few hoses had gone to hell so I decided to go ahead and replace that plus did a few other touch ups to the car to get it back in tip top shape. Once I was finished I gave her a car to come get her damn car and also come get a few choice words from me. It went a little bit like... WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU! USUALLY THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT BUT WITH YOU BEING MY FRIEND YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER! DO YOU KNOW HOW EXPENSIVE THIS CAR IS? HOW EXPENSIVE THESE PARTS CAN BE?? She started to apologize but I said stop I don't want to hear it. Treat this car better... you from now on are coming here Quarterly for check ups and a oil change every 10,000 miles. That's final. She agreed and tried to pay me but I told her this ones on the house. The next time however I'm charging full price.
