      Good Evening!

      Tonight marks the end of this summers Community Staff/SAHA recruitment.

      First off, we would like to thank everyone who expressed any interest in the advertised roles.

      Whilst we'd love to accept lots more of you, unfortunately we can only choose a select few. If you were overlooked this time around, don't be disheartened and remember that there is always next time as we constantly require new staff to help us out as people move up in roles or move on with their lives.

      Speaking of new roles, lets take the chance to say a massive congratulations to our new SAES probies which are there to fill the the small hole left in clan member activity as few have moved on.

      Congratulations to @MrSolrac @Yoko @Durby @Versace @Velo. Soon enough you'll be able to bother them all for your donation requests!


      Onto the recruitment results, lets welcome the following new Community Staff members to fill the void left by the above promotions.

      In addition to the recruitment results this evening, we also had a good number of events ingame!

      Our first event was a bring the tractor to The White House. After a huge amount of conflict, the tractor eventually arrived at the destination after an hour!
      Congratulations to @Aprix for winning. Enjoy you 20m and 10 donation points!

      Our second event was a kill @Brophy event through his protection and 50,000 hp!
      Congratulations to @Juby for taking away 15 donation points!

      Our third side event was guess the recruitment results via the form advertised ingame.
      Congratulations to @Anas_ for taking away 10 mil. He guessed a total of 8/9 individuals correctly. Sadly nobody guessed 9/9!

      We'll be looking to do a few more of these events on a more regular basis so keep an eye out for those!

      Or should Sheriff be kept for PC, deputy sheriff for public spawn, and sergeant for SAPD?

      I think it's a simpler, and good idea if we, PC members don't get stars in these spawns.

      Police Detective has been added to all counties and I would recommend choosing that for now.

      Was about to suggest it, radio must be locked to PC/Squads only or it's gonna be a mess.

      Weapons aswell can be stored in disks so it might be abused.

      And setting speedtraps, barriers and stingers should be either locked to specific spawn or just PC .. prefer if just PC imo.

      and ye PC can get wanted if spawned as non-PC spawn.

      I would like to try and keep the radio as is, any abuse of the radio will lead to mutes.
      More communication is always better.

      Speedtrap we would like to keep public as this is under utilised currently.

      Barriers/Stingers will remain locked to PC. (A fix will be be pushed to stingers).

      Getting wanted on a non-PC spawn is also an intended feature.

      Good Evening!

      It's no secret that the police team has been made largely redundant for quite a while now with very little people spawned aside from the odd new player and eager squad recruit.

      We have deduced that one of the primary reasons for this is the lack in variety due to a large quantity of the spawns being "locked" behind the ProCops qualification.

      Consequently, the SAPD team have put together a number of changes in an attempt to both increase the variety and motivation in playing as a police team member which is more appealing to both new players and non-squad players alike.

      These changes primarily feature increasing the availability of the previously locked ProCops spawns while also trying to maintain the value that holding a ProCops qualification once held.

      The reward for arrests has been slightly changed such that:

      • Non ProCops officers receive 10% less reward than current
      • Official Squads receive the current reward when spawned
      • ProCops qualified receive 10% more reward when spawned as any policing class

      As some of you perceptive people have probably seen, we've been cleaning up shop a lot recently to ensure that positions aren't occupied by lesser active individuals.

      1. Defending a casino robbery from outside the interior is prohibited.

      2. No special groups (HLS/DE/CLO) may participate in casino robberies.

      3. Killing crackers is deathmatching.

      4. When a casino robbery concludes, you may only exit the casino via an interior marker or the escape tunnel.

      5. Switching gangs to assist the casino robbery in terms of cracking is not allowed.

      6. Whilst a casino robbery is ongoing, any criminal/civilian in the lobby can be killed by either side.

      7. Leaving and rejoining a gang within 2 days to bypass the minimum police quota is punishable. (This includes spawning purposely as special policing groups to increase the count without the intent of responding to the robbery).

      You're all entitled to your own opinions and feel free to discuss them in private with each other however we don't endorse political controversy such as this thread.

      As far as SAES is concerned, we will continue to support those adversely impacted by these events as shown in https://saesrpg.uk/topic/31273/ukraine-residents-housing-requirements however we are not looking to prompt any further discussion on the matter hence why that thread was also locked.

      Hi All!

      First off, we want to wish you all a wonderful new year from all of us at SAES:RPG and hope that 2022 is one of the best for you all!

      We also want to thank each and every one of you that has stuck with us throughout 2021 with a major shout out to everyone in @Donator that has helped us keep the lights on.

      And a final thanks from the HQ team to all of our staff and developers that have helped maintain the day to day running of our services through the year.

      Jail Trial

      As previously mentioned, we are constantly observing the state of the jail as it is a major location for core gameplay. The last change made was as followed:

      "Jail change: red doors now open using the single marker by the door".

      This change didn't exactly have the desired effect we were looking for and therefore we're adapting it slightly further. Door operation within the jail will now function as followed:

      "Both red doors are now operated using a single marker in the jail control room next to the cell marker".

      We hope this will have a more beneficial effect on the server and we will continue to monitor it accordingly.
