      Backstory

      Dan doesn't talk much about his past. Most people know is that he's served in the army for as long as they really know. But to Dan himself, it's a different story...

      Dan is from Palomino Creek, that patriotic village in the north-east of the state. Before enlisting, he was in the police academy but that was not really his cup of tea. He felt protecting the state should start with controlling who we let into it and who we don't let in... Cubans. Cuban's and Dan are no match made in heaven, so much so that it made him enlist into the military. Climbing through the ranks to command so he can for once chip in and stop the scum from entering the state.

      After years of being a loyal officer in the navy, Dan gets promoted to Admiral. Where he was able to close off ports and illegal shipments of Cuban soldiers and weaponry. For years Dan was successful in stopping terrorism with an iron fist from entering the state which lead to his promotion to vice general of the army.

      Dan flourished, made his dues and left his mark. But finally retired after his service, after all he's only 40. A world left to explore, rather than fight. To escape his roots he moved to Angel Pine, a town where his story is not yet written but where it will be.

      Saving a lot of screenshots takes a lot of storage. The way the forums has worked for years is that servicing user images is outsourced to services like Imgur. If you want to have a screenshot gallery we should again look at outsourcing. A solution could be to implement the option to add a Flickr. gallery to your profile do display screenshots. This Flickr. gallery would in turn be connected to your own Flickr. account and SAES won't have extra costs for hosting them.
      Alternatives to Flickr. like Google Docs and Dropbox may be even better as users can link a folder on their PC to automatically upload screenshots from the GTA:SA screenshot folder.

      Adding more steps to respawning is a big no for me. I have another alternative, add an extra button on the spawnscreen with a progress bar that syncs with the CPR bar. If you accidentally press 'respawn' instead of hospital you will still have the chance to repspawn at the hospital as long as the CPR bar is not empty.

      I see @Poodlyz already suggested that, good idea 😉

      @Tut-Greco late to the party but, I like the sound and the horn, but would it be possible to have the 'sped up siren' on horn when the siren is enabled and use the horn-sound when it's not?

      Donation vehicles are like a 'thank you', they're not a service provided by SAES. That's why we all refer to them as donation vehicles. I think these have to be kept somewhat exclusive and think the possibility to add three more people to enjoy your vehicle is already generous. If you make increase this value, by any substantial amount, these vehicles are going to lose what's special about them. Besides how will SAES incentivize players to donate from that point on forward, if you can just add all members of your g/s/c to your vehicle? We need players to keep donating to the server, if that stops, the funding stops and they'll have to pull the plug before we know.

      Yes, the idea to have a barebone markdown (the styling type we also use on forums) interpreter in the g/s/c panel would be a great idea.
      In my opinion, we only need to support bold (**text**), italics (*text*), Heading 1 2 3 (# text, ## text, ### text respectively), horizontal lines (---), hyperlinks ([text](www.saesrpg.uk)) and lists (- text).
      Colors, centering, spoilers, and other functions alike are not really needed I think.

      After reading multiple thoughts on this I think it should work as follows to prevent abuse and annoyances by players:
      The player uses the AltGr interface to select "Prevent next respawn";
      This button makes sure the vehicle doesn't respawn during the NEXT respawn, the one following will respawn the vehicle when the button is not pressed again. Doing it this way makes sure the player cannot AFK indefinitely using the 50m radius I've seen suggested.
      However I think the radius is a good addition and should be implemented too, so if you're out of radius it also voids the respawn invulnerability.
      In addition: it might seem like a nice feature that you can use this on every vehicle so if your RP partner forgets to use the feature you can 'save' their vehicle. But that is a great way to abuse, you could potentially 'steal' people's vehicles and prevent them from respawning altogether. Which can lead to empty bases, no vehicles, and frustration. So give players the ability to use this features only on vehicles they can drive.
