Auto-complete Code Notepad++ Combine replied in PENSource
A tool that will help you a lot when writing code, basically when you type the first few characters it gets self-completed.
First of course, you will need to have Notepad++ and then, proceed to download the tool.
Within the file that we download we find 4 .xml files and 1 instruction file.
Now what we have to do is locate the files in the following folders:
lua.xml -> C:\Program Files\Notepad++\plugins\APIs
stylers.xml -> C:\Users%User%\AppData\Roaming\Notepad++
langs.xml -> C:\Users%User%\AppData\Roaming\Notepad++
shortcuts.xml -> C:\Users%User%\AppData\Roaming\Notepad++
Tip: %User% Is the username that your pc has.
How to open the AppData folder
To open the AppData folder we can do it using the tool that gives us windows that is "Run".
To open the run in a quick way is by pressing the [Windows] + [R] key.
Keep in mind I have another language.
Once we have the "Run" open we put "AppData" and accept.
Configuration and Activation
Now we must go to our Notepad ++ and in the menu we go to: "Configuration" then to "Preferences" then to "Auto-Completion" and then check the box that says "Enable auto-completion on each input".
Like I said before, please keep in mind I use another language.
Now we must activate it to use the MTA codes in the Lua language, for this we go to "Settings" then to "Style Settings" then search and select the language "Lua" then select the style "MTA" and finally press "Save" and Close. "
With that, the tool will be ready to use, have fun.
How to use GUI Editor Combine replied in PENSource
I made this to help those that struggle with this tool or either want to learn how it's used in a clear simple way with images, although you can find a guide inside the resource.
If you haven't got GUI Editor installed then click here. If you have already and want to know some basics on its functionality, you're at the right place.
First of all, assuming you already have a local server started, we must make sure the resource is running. You can either start it from console:
Or using the admin panel:
Once the resource has started, we must press: "Shift" + "G" or use command: "/ guied".
If you have followed all steps correctly, this will pop at the bottom of your screen:
You can turn it off the same way. Now let's get onto the next step.
Clicking your right mouse will open the main menu:
Now an explanation of each segment:
- Create: Used to create the objects of a GUI, such as the panel, texts, images, etc.
- Drawing: Used to create DxDraw objects.
- Preview in resolution: It is to see how things are going to be seen in different sizes of screens.
- Output: used to see the generated code of the GUI and to save it:
Remember that to be saved we must have the resource guieditor in the group ACL - Admin.
- Load code: It is used to load the codes or the creations already made and that are saved.
- Share gui: To share our creation with another user that is on the server.
- Settings: Well, the configurations.
- Help: The guide of the resource.
So yeah, let's go to a very basic first step.
To create an object what we have to do is look for the object that we are going to create, for example the window and we must click on it.
When the menu disappears we must press and hold the mouse at one point and then drag it.
If we right click inside the GUI, we can change the size, move it, create an object, etc. As seen in the following image:
Now you're free to experiment with the options, good luck in whatever you're making. If you have any questions post here or catch me on Discord.
How to install GUI Editor Combine replied in PENSource
GUI Editor is a resource designed to allow creation and manipulation of GUI elements in-game, with the ability to generate the corresponding Lua code and output it to a file.
All credits go to R3mp for making this tool.
First of all, click here to download the resource.
Once downloaded, you must put it in the resources folder of our MTA SA as you do with other resources, but with a slight difference, this will be extracted in a folder:
When you go inside the folder it must look like this:
