We realise we've been a bit quiet lately however don't worry, we have been keeping a close eye on things!
We have seen that the player count has been fluctuating quite a bit and as a result we've been looking into improvements we can make in the short term to improve player experience.
Whilst we would love to delete SWAT and hire Indians for cheap new scripts with donations as demanded, sadly some of these things aren't an option.
Speaking of Indians, that brings me onto my first bit of news! I would like you all to welcome @JohnnyEnglish as our latest brave volunteer to the Gang Management team.
Though with great additions, comes great loss. Unfortunately @DROT has taken the decision to retire from his current position within Gang Management. A massive thanks to @DROT for time he has dedicated towards this role!
Following that, this brings me onto my second piece of news. One of the primary observations identified was that we have some clan members in high community engagement positions that currently do not have as high as presence ingame as we'd like.
With this in mind, SAES HQ have taken the tough decision to revamp the current Group Management team and reallocate these positions to individuals of whom hold a much greater presence in-game and understand the current needs/desires of our active playerbase. With this higher level of engagement, we hope to see the new recruits proactively looking to improve and expand on the current group gameplay and give players the opportunity to delve deeper into those organisations outside of their beloved gang/squads.
Without further ado, I want to welcome both @Element and @Yoko as your new group managers! Any queries regarding groups can be pointed to them going forward but give them a good few days to get up to speed!
Last but not least, time for our final bit of the mix-up!
One of the more significant parts of the mix-up is the introduction of our basic developer role. This role will be solely responsible for sorting out gang/group git requests following approval from the relevant Gang/Group Management team.
With the addition of this new role, we hope this will allow our more advanced devs (cough @Scorpyo ) to spend less time on minor changes and more on developing new features for you all to enjoy! Big thanks to Scorpyo for the time he's dedicated to assisting our GM teams where possible in the meantime! Now you have more time to get 1.6 part 2 released! (Coming soon(tm)).
And I'm excited to announce that @Steven will be our hot hunk of Canadian fresh meat for this role!
Over the next few weeks we'll be looking at increasing the number of special server events/power hours taking place, so keep an eye out for those!
